Father Of Murdered Daughter Is Killed After Being Struck By Falling Tree
Story out of New South Wales, Australia:
The father of murdered school teacher, Stephanie Scott, has died after being hit by a falling tree on the family farm.
Emergency services were called to the family farm on Namami Road, near Canowindra, in the central west of New South Wales at midday on Tuesday.
Robert Scott's body was found early on Tuesday morning, Fairfax Media reports. NSW Police believe Scott, aged in his 60s, was hit by a falling tree while clearing trees on the property.
His death comes less than three weeks after Scott's killer, Vincent Stanford, was sentenced to life in prison.
Scott was murdered on Easter Sunday in 2015 at Leeton High School while she was preparing classes for a relief teacher. It was just days before her wedding.
Stanford was a cleaner at the school and killed Scott, 26, before burning her body -- which was found four days later at Cocoparra National Park. Cont.
