'Satan Made Me Do It' - Man Confesses To Brutally Killing Grandmother, Drowning Aunt
Story out of Nottingham, England:
Christopher Whelan, 21, allegedly armed himself with an axe and a pen knife before going on a rampage, killing Julie Hill, 51, and Rose Hill, 75.
A court heard Whelan had confessed to police two days after the killings, telling authorities he had “done something really bad."
Prosecutor Mike Evans QC told Nottingham Crown Court that the man forced a sock into his grandmother’s mouth during the violent rampage at a Derbyshire home in February.
The alleged killer, charged with the murder of both women, struggled with an “irresistible impulse to kill others."
Presiding High Court judge Justice Carr heard that in a post-mortem it was found that Rose had been strangled.
The examination further revealed Julie had been punched in the face, with her teeth knocked out, before she was drowned, the Derby Telegraph reported.
Evans said the man, a Christian, had also written a note saying he was doing it for “my God."
One of two psychiatrists who gave evidence in the case, David Baird, said the accused had told him “He (Satan) said ‘do it – this is the way forward’." Cont.
