An Ozark man faces a terrorist threat charge after yelling a racial slur and threatening to kill people in the Wal-Mart parking lot while waving around a shotgun.
Ozark police investigators arrested Christopher Joseph Lucier and charged him with felony making a terrorist threat, misdemeanor public intoxication and misdemeanor obstruction of government operations, according to court records.
Police were called to the Wal-Mart parking lot in Ozark earlier this week to reports of a drunk driver trying to push his vehicle into the parking lot around 10:40 p.m. Reports also came in that the man was threatening to kill people in the parking lot.
The man apparently became aggravated after a woman in the parking lot offered to help. He then retrieved a shotgun from his vehicle, threatened to kill people and used a racial slur. The woman backed away and waited for police to arrive.
Records show as police arrived, multiple officers commanded the armed suspect to get down on the ground. Police took the suspect into custody placing him in handcuffs after an officer used his Taser on him. Cont.
