15-Month-Old Recovering After Injesting Valium Found In Toronto Park
Story out of Toronto, Ontario:
A 15-month-old boy is recovering after partially ingesting one of multiple Valium pills found on a downtown Toronto park slide.
Toronto police were called to Bellevue Square Park at Augusta Avenue and Denison Square in Kensington Market around 12:15 p.m. Sunday where they found three and a half blue pills throughout the park.
Const. David Hopkinson said a mother and her son, Apollo, were at the playground when the child grabbed the pill. The mother quickly forced the pill out after it partially melted on the boy’s tongue.
He said the child will be OK after being taken to hospital for examination.
Hopkinson said police are trying to determine if the pills were purposefully placed or if the medication accidentally fell out. Cont.
