Thief Leaves Apology Note After Stealing KitKat From Unlocked Car

He should have called the police to report a Kit-Nabbing.

Story out of Manhattan, Kansas:

A thief left an apology note for a K-State student after stealing a KitKat bar from his car.

K-State Freshman Hunter Jobbins says he left his car for just a few minutes on Sunday to take some things up to his dorm room but when he returned something was missing.

It wasn't his phone or even his wallet, instead it was a KitKat bar that Jobbins left in his cupholder.

The thief had taken the candy bar but also left something behind -- an apology note scribbled on a napkin.

The note read, "Saw Kit Kat in your cup holder. I love Kit Kats so I checked your door and it was unlocked. Did not take anything other than the Kit-Kat. I am sorry and hungry."

Jobbins said he wasn't upset after reading the note and realizing the KitKat was the only thing missing from his car. Jobbins said he decided to share the note with his friends on twitter.

Shortly after sharing the note, the tweet went viral being shared and liked hundreds of thousands of times. Cont.
