Story out of Sacramento, California:
A Sacramento father is calling out some El Dorado Hills students for making racist remarks during a girls' high school basketball game.
Glen Kumamoto posted a video on his Facebook page of a moment during the C.K. McClatchy High School basketball game at Oak Ridge High School on Feb. 25. A player from McClatchy fell out of bounds while attempting to recover the ball. She slid over the baseline and into the bleachers.
Kumamoto said that wasn’t the worst thing to happen during the game.
“That's bad enough but what the student body would "cheer" during the game is even worse. Keep in mind that half of our team is of asian descent. They would yell "soy sauce", " little eyes", "you're ugly" just to name a few," Kumamoto said in his Facebook post.
Kumamoto said the staff at Oak Ridge didn’t do anything to stop their fans.
“"If these racial taunts were made against african americans, there would be outrage. But because they were made against asians, nobody on the Oak Ridge staff seemed to think there was a problem,” Kumamoto said in the post. Cont.
