After Arrest For DUI Police Find Man Wearing Chastity Device

Better safe than sorry. Story out of Clinton, Tennessee:

A Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper found something unusual when arresting a suspect for DUI in Anderson County – the suspect was wearing a chastity device.

Sgt. Dennis Smith said in his arrest report Curtis Scott Eidam, 35, of Oak Ridge, entered a sobriety checkpoint on State Route 62 on May 14. Assistant District Attorney Investigator Bobby Jo Higgs noticed an alcoholic beverage odor coming from the vehicle. He then noticed Eidam himself smelled of alcohol. The report says he has bloodshot watery eyes and admitted drinking four or five shots in the last four hours.

Once in custody, Ediam said he would need a key from inside the vehicle to unlock the chastity device he was wearing – one was on his keychain and a duplicate was around Alexander’s neck. The key was given to jail personnel when he arrived. Cont.
