Man Dies In His Walk-In Freezer
Story out of Thornbury, England:
The bakery worker, in his fifties, is believed to have collapsed and died in the early hours of this morning after walking into the huge sub-zero storage area at the back of the store to find something.
When he didn’t return, colleagues went to look for him and found him unconscious on the floor at around 1.22am.
They raised the alarm, but police and paramedics could not help him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
One man, who wished to remain anonymous, said: ‘He was in the main walk-in food freezer out the back of the store.
‘He worked in the bakery section. No-one knows how long he had been in the freezer before he was found. Another member of staff found the body and raised the alarm.’
It is understood the man was not locked or trapped in the freezer, but had collapsed while working inside at the store in Thornbury, Gloucestershire. Cont.
