Teacher Claims Her Facebook Account Was Hacked After Sending Disgusting Message To Student
Story out of Killeen, Texas:
A local parent said a teacher, who appears to work at Killeen ISD, sent a controversial message about the Orlando shooting to her via Facebook Monday morning.
Cassie Watson, whose daughter made headlines in May for wearing a pro-LGBT shirt to school in Copperas Cove, said she received a Facebook message at 4:53 a.m. that she claims suggests her 13-year-old daughter could be the next victim of a mass shooting.
The message said: "In light of the Orlando incident wear (sic) all gay people were openly slaughtered, I wonder if you'd still let your daughter wear the t-shirt to school that caused public controversy and may have subjected her to possible harm by others? Being gay isn't a crime but publicly forcing your opinion upon others, and to do it through your child at school, will always be offensive to others."
The teacher sent KCEN-HD News Reporter, Stephen Adams, a statement Tuesday claiming she did not send the message and that she was hacked. The statement reads:
"My FB account was hacked yesterday and I was not responsible for the message sent to the lady causing her to believe that her child would be harmed. It took several attempts to delete the account after notifying FB that my account had been hacked. I have lived my life protecting the rights of others and being an advocate for ALL children. I'm saddened that a hacker can cause such negativity and division among so many people. Please give my sincerest apology to this woman and her child. Thank you."
When asked, the mother of the girl, Cassie Watson, said she did not believe this was the work of a hacker. Cont.
