Story out of Provo, Utah:
A call about a missing man, found dead in his home in a freezer, resulted in his son being arrested for his murder Thursday night.
The family of 57-year-old Marco Carmona led Provo police to conduct a search of his home. Investigators found his body in a freezer and homicide detectives are now conducting a thorough homicide investigation according to Provo police.
The victim's 27-year-old son, Omar Carmona was booked into the Utah County jail around 7 p.m. Thursday night. The state medical examiner is part of the investigation. The body was located in a trailer home near North Geneva Road near the Provo River Parkway Trailhead.
Court records indicate Omar Carmona allegedly assaulted his father in 2014 and pulled a knife on him. Police said he reportedly held his father against his will in a room until police arrived and knocked on the door. In the 2014 police report, Marco Carmona told police that Omar Carmona got violent and aggressive when he is upset and said he had mental health issues and is a regular drug user. Cont. (Video)
