Journalist Exasperated With Hosts' Refusal To Equate Orlando Shooting To Homophobia Walks Off Set

Journalist Owen Jones stormed off a TV set during a live discussion about the terrorist attack in Orlando.

In an emotional debate, Mr Jones accused Sky News host Mark Longhurst and co-panellist Julia Hartley-Brewer of denying the shooting was a targeted homophobic attack.

The increasingly exasperated Mr Jones eventually walks out of the interview, saying: ‘I’ve had enough of this, I’m going home.’

During the debate, he stressed that gunman Omar Mateen, who slaughtered 50 people inside gay nightclub Pulse, had cause for choosing the venue.

He added: ‘It is one of the worst atrocities committed against LGBT people in the western world for generations and it has to be called out as such.’ Cont. (Video)
