Man Bites Off Friend's Ear Outside Bar After His Soccer Team Loses

I ear you, but I don't believe you. Story out of Newport, England:

A football fan chewed off a chunk off a friend’s ear after his team had lost a Premiership match.

Jamie Richardson, 31, pleaded guilty to a charge of wounding after Chelsea were beaten 3-1 by Southampton, and was sentenced to 22 months in prison.

Richardson was wearing a Chelsea shirt and was described as ‘inebriated’ when he was told by Richard Avery, who he knew, to go outside and calm down.

Nigel Fryer, prosecuting, said, ‘Both of them were sparring like boxers. Mr Richardson was on top and that’s when the bite takes place to the ear.

Mr Avery was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital, in Newport, after part of his right ear was bitten off in the fight – but it could not be reattached. Cont.
