6-Year-Old In Critical Condition After Surviving Shootout

Story out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania:

A 6-year-old boy is fighting for his life Friday morning after he and three men were shot multiple times in Philadelphia’s East Germantown neighborhood.

Investigators say assault weapon style shell casings, traced to different assault style weapons, littered the scene.

The 6-year-old boy was shot in his chest and arm and transported to St. Christopher’s Hospital after undergoing emergency care at Einstein Hospital. He was one of 4 people gunned down.

Police say two of the four shooting victims were found in the front seats of a gray Pontiac. One, the 6-year-old boy, and the other a man age 29. The 29-year-old was shot in his chest, stomach, both arms and one leg. He is now in critical condition at Einstein Medical Center.

Police say they were likely in route to the hospital but police wound up getting them there. Two other men ages 29 and 32 were shot as well, one in his arm, the other in his leg. They are said to be in stable condition.

At this time police say they are not sure if any of those men shot were shooters themselves. Cont.
