Brazilian Crowd Boos Olympic Athlete Until He Cries
Story out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil:
After pole vault silver medalist Renaud Lavillenie lost out to hometown favorite Thiago Braz da Silva, he began to cry as the Brazilian crowd rained boos down on him.
Olympic chief Thomas Bach called his treatment "shocking" according to BBC.
Lavillenie later had to apologized after comparing the incident to the treatment of African-American athlete Jesse Owens in the Nazi-era Berlin Games in 1936.
