Two men referred to President-elect Donald Trump and made disparaging remarks about Muslims while robbing a woman Wednesday at a university parking lot in San Diego, authorities said.
The woman was walking to her car about 2:30 p.m. when the men confronted her, made the demeaning comments and snatched her backpack and purse, according to Lt. Ronald Broussard of the university’s Police Department.
The men retrieved her keys and fled the area, and the woman left to report the incident to police. When she returned with police, her car had been stolen, Broussard said. Cont.
