Story out of Hansville, Washington:
Kitsap sheriff's deputies are investigating an incident Wednesday when a man allegedly held three teenage boys at gunpoint, forced them to the ground and lectured them about crime in the area.
The three 13-year-olds had been playing basketball about 8 p.m. at a community court in the Driftwood Key community near Hansville when they were approached by the man, according to reports.
The youths reported the incident to their parents, who called deputies. They said the man had been dropped off in a silver pickup, possibly a Dodge, with orange cab lights, according the report.
The man first shined a flashlight at the youths, then with his hand shaking pointed the semi-automatic pistol at them, said he wasn't "playing around" and ordered them to lie face down on the ground.
The youths said the man asked them what they were doing, said there had been a spate of vandalism and car thefts in the area and alluded to being called to investigate by a neighbor, according to the report. Cont.
