Mass Shooting In US Diverted By A Gun Jam

Story out of Orange Park, Florida:

One person is dead and another injured after a shooting at Jacksonville Granite, located at 109 Industrial Loop in Orange Park Monday afternoon, authorities said.

An employee of the business was taken to an area hospital after an allegedly disgruntled employee shot him in the backside while he ran away.

James Cameau, 34, then turned the gun on himself, according to the Clay County Sheriff's Office. He did not survive the gunshot.

Cameau had only been working at Jax Granite for less than a month, Undersheriff Craig Aldrich said at a press conference. He had been reportedly feeling despondent the past couple days, employees said. He went home during lunch hour and returned with a semi-automatic pistol a few minutes past noon

According to Aldrich, the suspect walked around to the back of the building where the 11 employees were and, after saying "You better run," tried to open fire.

His gun jammed, Aldrich said. He then tried to fire again - his gun jammed once more. At this point, employees were fleeing through the building to the front, trying to get back to their cars. Cont.
