17-Year-Old Watched TV, Took Shower Before Calling Police About Stabbing, Strangling His Mother To Death

Story out of Palmyra, Pennsylvania:

Residents along tree-lined Cypress Street in Palmyra reacted with shock and dismay to the grisly news today that a 17-year-old neighbor had stabbed and strangled his mother.

Jacob Michael Talifaferro called 911 early Monday and told the dispatcher he had killed his mother, Palmyra police and county detectives say.

Lorrie Ann Demko was stabbed in the chest and then strangled with a rope, said Patrolman Jared Henry and Detective Matthew Brindley in court documents.

Taliaferro said he watched TV for a while, took a shower and then called 911 to turn himself in, the criminal complaint says. Cont. (Video)
