Insider Claims GOP Told Trump To Give Condolences To Orlando Victims Then Remain Quiet, He did Neither

According to a report from NBC News, the Republican Party officials asked Donald Trump not to speak out in the wake of the Orlando terrorist attack, a request Trump decided to ignore.

“A source who works closely with the Trump campaign, granted anonymity in order to speak freely to NBC News, said after Sunday’s attack that the party had asked the candidate to offer condolences and then to stay silent,” they reported Monday afternoon. “Trump clearly chose a different approach.”

Did he ever; Trump first courted controversy by appearing to crow about being vindicated by the attack. “Appreciate the congrats for being right on radical Islamic terrorism, I don’t want congrats, I want toughness & vigilance,” he tweeted. Later, he tweeted out an unsubstantiated rumor claiming that the killer shouted out “Allahu Ackbar” during the shooting. Cont.
