Story out of Orange County, Florida:
Orange County deputies continue to investigate after a 63-year-old man killed his wife when his gun accidentally went off Monday night, officials said.
Darrell Reid called deputies about 8 p.m. to report he'd accidentally shot wife Katie Reid in the head while cleaning his firearm in their Zellwood home, said Sheriff's Office spokesman Travis Mackey.
Mackey said it is currently labeled as a death investigation. Darrell Reid has not been arrested or charged. Officials responded to the home on Winifred Avenue, located near the Orange-Lake County line, and found Katie Reid, 62, with a gunshot wound to the head, Mackey said.
Darrell Reid and his wife founded and were pastors at "Happy Hill Ministries," which has a mission to "seek out the lost, lonely and hopeless and introduce them to the Love of God," its website said. They met when they were around 12, the website said. Cont.
