Man Fires Gun At Child For Setting Off Fire Works
Story out of Greenfield, Wisconsin:
A 45-year-old Greenfield man could be charged after firing a .40-caliber pistol in the direction of a child who the man said was shooting off fireworks Saturday night, the Greenfield Police Department said.
The child called police at about 10 p.m. Saturday with complaints that a neighbor came to the balcony and fired a gun toward him, police said in a news release Sunday.
The man first told police he'd shot fireworks in the child's direction, but later admitted the sound came from a firearm, police said. A pistol and magazine was recovered from the man's apartment.
Police arrested the man, who is accused of recklessly endangering safety, and referred the case to the Milwaukee County district attorney's office for charging. Cont.
