"What The F*ck Are You Going To Do Now?" - Man Pulls Gun On Father In Theater
Story out of Paducah, Kentucky:
An Illinois man is accused of pulling a gun inside a Paducah, Kentucky movie theater on Saturday morning, July 23. Paducah police say they will seek charges against the man.
According to police, they were called to the Cinemark Theater on Hinkleville Road at around 11:50 a.m. on Saturday after a fight broke out inside the theater.
A man told one of the officers that he and his son were sitting behind another man and the son was kicking the back of the man's seat.
According to witnesses, the man got up and cursed at the boy, asking if he was going to continue kicking his seat. Police say the boy's father broke in and a fight began between the two men.
They say as the father got the upper hand in the fight, witnesses told them the other man pulled a gun and said, "What the [expletive] are you going to do now?"
According to police, other people in the theater saw the gun and began running for the exit.
Three men, including theater employees and patrons, escorted the man from the theater and were outside with him when police arrived. Cont. (Video/Autoplay)

Trump's Former Political Adviser "Insulted" Over Being Sued For "Only" $10 Million
A former top Trump political adviser being sued by Trump for $10 million over allegations that he broke a confidentiality agreement by leaking confidential campaign information to the press says he’s “insulted” that Trump isn’t suing him for more.
“If you write $10 million, Mr. Trump, it’s got to be $100 million, 150,” ex-staffer Sam Nunberg told ABC News’ Jonathan Karl in jest during an interview on “Powerhouse Politics” at the GOP convention, adding that it doesn’t make him “look that good” if “I can only cause $10 million in damages.”
Trump is seeking the damages in an arbitration proceeding in New York, according to Nunberg's affidavit, for backing Ted Cruz and over claims that he was the source of a leaked story to the New York Post about former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.
While Nunberg may talk jokingly about the lawsuit, the dejected former staffer said he hopes the “mishigas” will be resolved “amicably” before the election and lamented the circumstances under which he says he was fired from the Trump campaign last year. Cont.

TV News Anchor Falls 160 Feet To Her Death
Story out of Transylvania County, North Carolina:
A Georgia morning news anchor plunged approximately 160 feet to her death Thursday after being swept over the top of Rainbow Falls just a day before her 25th birthday, according to authorities.
Transylvania County Sheriff David Mahoney confirmed Saturday that Taylor Terrell, 24, died in the accident.
Terrell, of Conyers, Georgia, anchored 41NBC News at Daybreak and 41Today in Macon, Georgia. According to 13WMAZ Special Projects Producer Erica Carr, Terrell was an "avid hiker" and had taken Friday off from work.
On Friday morning, Terrell's parents informed the television station that their daughter was in an accident and did not survive, according to News Director Brandon Long. Terrell had been working with 41NBC since August of 2013. She started as a reporter before she was promoted to an anchor position.
Terrell had been wading in the creek with a friend at the top of Rainbow Falls when she lost her footing on some rocks covered in algae, according to spokeswoman Cathy Dowd with the United States Forest Service. She was then swept over Rainbow Falls by the swift current.
Rainbow Falls is located in the Gorges State Park, about 55 miles from Asheville near Lake Toxaway and the small town of Sapphire. It is one of several waterfalls in Transylvania County that is a popular attraction for locals and visitors. Cont.

Dead Man Found After 3 Days In A 'Hungry Jack's' Restaurant
Jack ain't hungry no more. Story out of Sydney, Australia:
Police are investigating how a man's body lay undiscovered for up to three days in the toilet of an Australian fast-food restaurant, according to media reports.
Local media said the shock discovery was made at the Hungry Jack's outlet in a suburb of Perth on Monday morning, with the man thought to have entered the store some time on Friday.
"Hungry Jack's is cooperating with all relevant authorities regarding the matter at its restaurant in Balga, Western Australia," the fast-food outlet said in a statement.
Western Australian police gave no indication of how long the man had been dead before his body was discovered inside the locked cubicle.
"The death is not suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner," a police spokeswoman told AFP.
But the Australian Broadcasting Corporation said an investigation was underway to determine when he died in the stall which reportedly had a floor to ceiling door. Cont.

“It Is Better That Disabled People Disappear” - Killer Says After Killing 19 At Care Center
Story out of Sagamihara, Japan:
A man who claimed he wanted to kill disabled people left at least 19 dead and 26 others injured after a knife attack at a care facility in Japan.
Petrified staff at the Tsukui Yamayuri En (Tsukui Lily Garden) facility in Sagamihara, south of Tokyo, called police at about 2.30am local time after the suspect, named as Satoshi Uematsu, launched his attack. It was the country’s worst mass killing in decades.
Emergency workers said at least 20 of the wounded had sustained serious injuries, according to the Kyodo news agency.
“I did it,” the 26-year-old former employee of the facility was quoted as saying. “It is better that disabled people disappear,” he was said to have added.
Authorities said Uematsu had been “involuntarily committed” to hospital on 19 February, after police in the town of Tsukui contacted him in response to a letter he had attempted to pass to the speaker of the lower house of Japan’s parliament.
In the letter, Uematsu argued that the government should permit euthanasia for disabled people, said he would be willing to carry out such killings himself, and detailed how he would do it.
“I envision a world where a person with multiple disabilities can be euthanised, with an agreement from the guardians, when it is difficult for the person to carry out household and social activities,” the letter said.
Uematsu’s letter said he could “wipe out a total of 470 disabled individuals” by targeting two facilities for disabled people during the night shift, “when staffing is low”.
“The act will be carried out speedily, and definitely without harming the staff. After wiping out the 260 people in two facilities, I will turn myself in.” Cont.

Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Manager Accuses Russia Of Trying To Get Trump Elected
Well, czar you have it. Russia and Wikileaks are in a desperate fight to get the first orange supremacist elected to high office.
A U.S. election that has already seen its share of drama witnessed a James-Bond-level plot twist Sunday – accusations of Russian meddling in the campaign.
It’s a charge levelled by Democrats as they gather for their convention.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager did a round on the weekly talk shows where he raised the suggestion that Russian actors are looking to undermine her in an attempt to elect Donald Trump.
He pointed to a pattern that includes reports of Russians hacking into the Democratic Party’s servers; the Trump campaign’s business ties to Putin allies; Trump’s words and positions undermining NATO, the European Union and assistance for Ukraine; the compliments back and forth between Trump and Putin; and now the leak of those hacked emails at a moment likeliest to disrupt the Democratic convention.
“What’s disturbing to us is that experts are telling us Russian state actors broke into the (Democratic National Committee), stole these emails and other experts are now saying the Russians are releasing these emails for the purpose of actually helping Donald Trump,” Robby Mook told CNN, in comments he repeated elsewhere.
“When you put it all together, it’s a disturbing picture. And I think voters need to reflect on that. … I don’t think it’s very coincidental that they’re being released at this time – to create maximum damage and help elect Donald Trump.” Cont.

Syrian Man Kills Woman, Wounding Two Others With Machete Outside Bus Station
Story out of Berlin, Germany:
A Syrian man killed a woman with a machete and wounded two others Sunday outside a bus station in the southwestern German city of Reutlingen before being arrested. Police said there were no indications pointing to terrorism.
Police spokesman Bjoern Reusch told The Associated Press that witnesses said the 21-year-old asylum-seeker, who was known to police, was having an argument with the woman before attacking her about 4:30 p.m. The suspect, whose name was not released, wounded another woman and a man as he fled.
Investigators were still trying to determine the motive behind the attack, but Reusch said "there are no indications this was a terrorist act."
The attack comes as Germany is on edge following a rampage at a Munich mall on Friday night by an 18-year-old who suffered psychological problems in which nine people were killed, and an axe attack on a train a week ago that left five wounded in southern Germany, for which the Islamic State has claimed responsibility. Two Canadian Teens Playing Pokemon GO Arrested After Wandering Over US Border
They were so traumatized, they needed a Shellder to cry on.
Two Alberta teenagers were apprehended after they accidentally crossed the U.S. border into Montana while playing the game Pokemon Go, U.S. Border Patrol officials say.
"Both juveniles were so captivated by their Pokemon Go games that they lost track of where they were," the service said in a release on Friday.
Border Patrol Agent John South says the teens wandered into the United States near Sweet Grass, Montana, which borders the town of Coutts in Alberta.
South says agents briefly detained them while contacting their mother, who was nearby on the Canadian side.
The agents then released the children to their mother. Cont.

Man Steals Dead Man's Identity, Lives As Him For 20 Years
Story out of Pasco County, Florida:
Richard Hoagland of Indiana claims he is Terry Symansky of Ohio, who died in 1991.
“Richard Hoagland takes Terry Symansky’s death certificate to apply for birth certificate from Ohio. He uses that birth certificate to apply by mail for a driver’s license in Alabama. He then uses the Alabama driver’s license to apply for Floridas driver’s license,” says Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco.
So for the past 20 years, Hoagland has lived as Symansky -- getting married, even having a child, and calling Zephyrhills home.
It was a major case of identity theft that Hoagland thought he conquered, until the real Symansky’s family got involved.
“Nephew of real Terry Symansky was on ancestry. com doing family project. He looks up real uncle and sees he dies in 1991 then scrolls down page and sees documentation he was remarried in Pasco County and has pilot license,” says Nocco.
The sheriff says the only positive about this is that Hoagland is now behind bars, but so many lives including his children and a wife who had no clue are destroyed. Cont. (Video/Autoplay)

Republican Governor Apologizes For Calling Public School Teachers "Virtually Illiterate"
Nothin' like a little hyperbole to get those Republican juices flowing. Story out of Chicago, Illinois:
Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner on Friday publicly apologized for writing a 2011 email in which he asserted that half of Chicago Public Schools teachers "are virtually illiterate," saying the comment was "inaccurate and intemperate" and he regrets writing it.
The apology came moments after half a dozen or so teachers interrupted a bill-signing ceremony at the Thompson Center in the Loop, reading statements that criticized the governor for his comments and for his handling of state government more broadly.
"The remark I made in that email five years ago was both inaccurate and intemperate," Rauner said. "And I apologize. I am a strong advocate for teachers. Always have been, always will be."
The offending comment was part of an email exchange between Rauner, who was a private citizen at the time, and fellow affluent school reform activists involved with the nonprofit Chicago Public Education Fund. Cont.

Judge Sends Attorney To Jail After She Refused To Remove 'Black Lives Matter' Pin
Story out of Youngstown, Ohio:
An attorney was removed from court and taken into custody after a judge declared her in contempt for refusing to take off a Black Lives Matter pin.
Youngstown Municipal Court Judge Robert Milich said Attorney Andrea Burton was in contempt of court for refusing to remove the pin in his courtroom as instructed. Burton was sentenced to five days in jail, but she has been released on a stay while an appeal is underway.
The Youngstown branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) said its legal counsel is monitoring the case closely as it may violate Burton’s civil rights.
The judge said his ruling is based on Supreme Court case law in which a judge can prohibit symbolic political expression in courtrooms, even if it’s not disruptive.
Legal analysts say judges have free reign when it comes to what’s said, or worn, in their courtrooms. Cont. (Video)

"It's A New Level Of Invasion" - Oliver Stone Calls Pokemon GO "Totalitarianism"
Totalitarianism? That's a bit Farfetch’d.
The controversial filmmaker appeared at San Diego Comic-Con Thursday for a panel discussing his new film, "Snowden" -- starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Edward Snowden. But the discussion veered off-topic when a fan asked what the director and his cast thought of the hugely popular new mobile game.
Stone, as it turned out, had plenty to say on the matter.
"It's a new level of invasion," Stone said of the game. "Nobody has ever seen, in the history of the world, something like Google, ever. It's the fastest-growing business ever, and they have invested huge amounts of money into what surveillance is, which is data-mining. They're data-mining every person in this room for information as to what you're buying, what it is you like, and above all, your behavior. Pokemon Go kicks into that. It's everywhere. It's what some people call surveillance capitalism. It's the newest stage," he said. "You'll see a new form of, frankly, a robot society, where they will know how you want to behave and they will make the mockup that matches how you behave and feed you. It's what they call totalitarianism." Cont.

EMS Workers Arrested For Participating In "Selfie War" With Unconscious Patients
Corpse Snap Chat/Face Swap? Oh, yeah, it's coming. Story out of Okaloosa County, Florida:
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a former Okaloosa County EMS paramedic and issued active warrants for another in connection with an investigation that revealed they used their cell phones to take selfies and videos with patients inside ambulances for their own amusement as part of a “selfie war” competition.
Many patients were intubated, sedated, or otherwise unconscious at the time. 24-year old Kayla Renee Dubois of Navarre is charged with two counts of interception and disclosure of oral communications, a third degree felony. (Florida Statute 934.03 (1)(a). Dubois was arrested Thursday morning in Santa Rosa County.
Active warrants have been issued for 33-year old Christopher Wimmer of Crestview on seven counts of the same charge, along with a misdemeanor battery charge. The battery charge involves Wimmer holding open the eyelid of a sedated patient for a selfie. Investigators say he also posed with an elderly woman with her breast exposed.
The OCSO investigation was launched on May 13th after Okaloosa County Public Safety officials learned of the allegations from three other EMS employees a week earlier, began an immediate internal investigation, and then requested a criminal investigation. It revealed the defendants exchanged texts challenging each other to produce more selfies and to “step up” their game. Dubois, who was terminated from her position at EMS May 20th, was arrested in Navarre. Cont.

“Wino Round Up" - Lawsuit Filed After Montana Rodeo Rounds Up Native Americans, Placing Them In Makeshift Outdoor Prisons
Story out of Wolf Point, Montana:
The Wild Horse Stampede is a big deal in Wolf Point, Montana. The oldest rodeo in the state, the annual Stampede draws thousands of equestrian enthusiasts to the town of 3,000.
But while visitors rushed into Wolf Point for the 2013 Wild Horse Stampede, some residents were allegedly pushed out. To clear the streets for 2013’s wave of horse-happy tourists, Wolf Point law enforcement led a raid on local Native Americans, illegally detaining them without charges or toilets in a makeshift outdoor jail, members of two area tribes allege in a new lawsuit.
Wolf Point locals refer to the arrests as the “Wino Round Up.” The name derives from an area slur against Native Americans.
Located on the 2 million-acre Fort Peck Indian Reservation, the city of Wolf Point is home to local Assiniboine and Sioux tribes, as well as a non-Native population, and a city government and police force unaffiliated with the reservation.
Relations between Wolf Point government and the tribe members are sometimes strained, the plaintiffs say. Elected officials and police officers frequently dismissed this group as “Homeless, Winos, Street People, Tree People, Drug Addicts, Alcoholics, or Prairie Niggers,” (Yikes) members of the Fort Peck tribes allege in their lawsuit.
“The Wild Horse Stampede offers a glimpse of unadulterated eastern Montana life. There’s no glitz. Just honest-to-goodness fun based upon decades-old traditions,” the Wolf Point city website boasts. “It’s the Montana rodeo other seeks to emulate.” (Nah) Cont.

"So Sad" - Trump Defends Roger Ailes
How strange that a guy like Trump, who himself is accused of sexual assault would be defending a serial predator. Or to put it another way... derp.
Donald Trump says Roger Ailes' forced exit from Fox News is "so sad."
The GOP nominee for president called the Fox News mastermind, his longtime friend, "such a great guy" in an interview for the Showtime series "The Circus."
And in an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press," he didn't deny that Ailes is advising him.
"A lot of people are thinking he's going to run my campaign," Trump said slyly, acknowledging the widespread speculation in TV and political circles.
Is he going to? Trump didn't say. "My campaign's doing pretty well" was his only comment.
In both interviews, Trump defended Ailes amid widening allegations of sexual harassment and other inappropriate workplace behavior.
In the wake of a harassment lawsuit filed by ex-anchor Gretchen Carlson, numerous other women have come forward to speak with investigators. The heads of Fox News' parent company, 21st Century Fox, determined that Ailes must step down from the channel he created 20 years ago. Ailes resigned under pressure on Thursday, effective immediately.
Speaking with NBC's Chuck Todd, Trump repeated one of the defenses put forth by Ailes' side: "Some of the women that are complaining, I know how much he's helped them. And even recently. And when they write books that are fairly recently released, and they say wonderful things about him."
In fact, Carlson is the only accuser who recently wrote a book. It included praise for Ailes. She was still employed by Fox News at the time, and her representatives have said it was necessary to include the positive language in the book. (Well, yeah, because at Fox you're not just an employee, you're a slave.) Cont.

“I am awesome” - FBI Investigates Poison Stickers Handed To Police By Protesters During RNC Convention
This is reminiscent of a Christian group who in recent years has been handing out fake condoms during pride parades. Story out of Cleveland, Ohio:
Federal and local officials are investigating stickers that protesters at the Republican National Convention gave to police officers working the crowds in downtown Cleveland Thursday.
A Georgia state trooper and a Cleveland police officer were treated for skin irritation after coming in contact with the stickers, reports WOIO in Cleveland.
The stickers were yellow and had the words “I am awesome” printed on them. Cleveland media reported that protesters handed them out to officers at the protests.
The Cleveland police officer was treated after he felt a numbness in his neck, the TV station reported. The state trooper was treated at the scene and released.
Authorities confiscated stickers from a man they detained for about 90 minutes, Cleveland.com reported. He was released without charges.
The man told the website that a stranger gave him several stickers. State crime lab officials swabbed his shirt where he had worn a sticker.
The FBI and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are currently investigating the stickers. Cont.
