A Lawnmower, A Wheelchair, A F-150, And A Whole Lot Of Stupid
Story out of Acadiana, Louisiana:
Rayne Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Sunday night in the 500 block of American Legion Street.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered that a riding lawnmower driven by a male was traveling east on American Legion Drive near Live Oak Street.
Police say an initial investigation revealed that another male was riding on the hood of the lawnmower with a third male riding in a wheelchair and hanging on to the lawnmower from behind being pulled.
At the same time, a Ford F150 truck driven by a female traveling east on American Legion Drive struck the wheelchair and lawnmower from behind.
Stelly said two victims were transported to Acadia General Hospital by Acadian Ambulance ground units and the other victim was transported by Air Med Helicopter to Lafayette General Hospital.
The driver of the riding lawnmower was later pronounced dead at Acadia General Hospital. Cont.
