Abandoned Ship Washes Up On South African Shore
These are the stories that keep you up at night. Story out of Liberia, Africa:
A GIANT deserted oil tanker has washed up on a west African beach – and no one can explain how it ended up there.
Incredible images have emerged on social media of the 64-metre long vessel beached in Liberia, surrounded by mystified locals.
When they searched the ship they were shocked to discover it was carrying no crew members. There were also reportedly no life boats on board.
The alarm was raised but police and immigration chiefs took days to respond before inspecting the boat on Thursday.
The tanker - named Tamaya 1 - was last seen back on April 21 near The Gambia on its way to the capital of Senegal, Dakar. Cont.
