Mother Faces Felony Charge After Sitting On Son's Head Until He Became Unresponsive

Story out of Kennesaw, Georgia:

A Kennesaw mother was arrested Wednesday by authorities after her two-year-old son was treated at a hospital for what police are calling "excessive physical and mental pain."

The arrest warrant states Susan Elizabeth Kelly placed the head of her two-year-old son on the seat portion of a wooden dining room chair with a towel placed under the child's head. Kelly then sat on the child's head with full body weight for approximately an hour in an attempt to gain submission from the child."

The child became unresponsive and was transported to Eggleston Hospital in Atlanta. The child received physical injuries that included redness to the head, chest and back. He is expected to fully recover. Cont.
