Man Throws Gasoline On Girlfriend As She Smoked Cigarette, Burns Her Alive

Story out of Bensalem, Pennsylvania:

A Pennsylvania man had little to say on Sunday as he was led out of the Bensalem, Penn., police department, just hours after allegedly throwing gasoline on his girlfriend as she smoked a cigarette, igniting her body in flames and killing her.

“I just lost it,” Kevin Small, 46, told reporters.

According to police, Small was staying with his girlfriend, Melissa Bacon-Smith, at a motel located outside Philadelphia where the incident occurred.

Small reportedly went to a gas station across the street from the motel to fill a cup with gasoline after becoming agitated by something Bacon-Smith said.

“He walked back across the street to the Lincoln Motel, walked into the room with the gas and something transpired in the room where he doused the victim with gas and set her on fire,” Lt. Robert Bugsch of the Bensalam Police Dept told reporters.

Police said the gas immediately ignited, lighting Bacon-Smith and the motel room on fire.

Authorities said the murder was made more gruesome as Small exited the room as his girlfriend pleaded for help. Cont. (Video)
