Gee, ya think he was guilty? Story out of Long Island, New York:
NYPD Inspector Michael Ameri shook it off last month when FBI agents arrived to question him in a mushrooming police scandal.
Two high-ranking police sources said the FBI paid its second visit to Ameri’s home Friday morning just hours before he killed himself — but an FBI source said that assertion was “flat out wrong.”
A law enforcement source told the Daily News the FBI had been at Ameri’s house just days earlier.The stunning suicide, amid the ongoing federal probe of an alleged police corruption scandal, sent nervous tremors throughout the police department. Cont. (Video)
