Story out of Fuyang, China:
26 year old Xiao Luo from Fuyang needed to pay a 70,000 Yuan dowry in order to marry the love of his life. In desperation, he decided to rob a bank in order to pay her parents.
Xiao Luo was still 10,000 Yuan short of the dowry requested by his girlfriend’s parents. He had scraped together 60,000 Yuan by cashing in his life savings and his parent’s property.
He started to feel anxious about the situation and did not want ask his family for any more. Xiao Luo gathered up his courage and asked his girlfriend if her parents would consider reducing the dowry price.
