Man From China Buys Glow In The Dark Meat

A man from Leshan, China, who found the meat that he had purchased from a farmers market was shining a bright blue colour last week, the People's Daily Online reports.

The man, with a surname of Jian, said he had spent more than 600 Yuan (£62) on 92 pounds of pork in order to make sausages.

Mr Jian said he had cut up the meat, added some Kimchi salt and left it to marinate overnight in a bucket on January 4.

He said he woke up the next morning at 5am to get a drink of water from the kitchen. That's when he saw a blue light emitting from the bucket.

As soon as he told his neighbours, locals flocked to see the strange glowing meat.

On Thursday the Food and Drug Administration department started an investigation into the cause of the blue pork.

According to the agency, they have sealed the samples and have begun to test the meat. Cont.
