300-Pound Statue Stolen From UC Berkeley Boathouse

Story out of Oakland, California:

Police are investigating the recent theft of an $80,000 life-size bronze statue from the University of California Berkeley Boathouse in Oakland.

The life-size bronze statue depicts Berkeley crew coach Carrol ‘Ky’ Ebright, who coached Cal crew teams to three Olympic gold medals and multiple other championships in the early 20^th century, police said. Cont.
