Man Claiming To Be Blind Caught Driving In New York

Story out of New York City, New York:

In his application for disability positive aspects, John Caltabiano claimed he couldn’t drive, cook for himself, physical exercise at the health club, move about his property or even shave with no help.

The New York man, 49, stated he had lost his sight in a workplace accident at a cement firm in 2009 and, because then, he bumps into factors and hurts himself at house.

“I sit in the dark and listen to Television,” he wrote in his application.

On the date of his disability hearing in Hudson, New York, last fall, Caltabiano had his girlfriend lead him into the constructing.

But what he didn’t know was just a couple of days prior, investigators had caught Caltabiano on video appearing to be reading something. In a further video, investigators had caught him driving a car and then braking in time to prevent hitting a lady and child in the street.

An additional video shot by investigators caught him holding the door open for a person, all uncommon behavior, they said, for a particular person claiming to be blind. Cont.
