23-Year-Old Ukrainian Charged For Posing As High School Student

Story out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania:

Artur Samarin is charged with theft, identity theft and tampering with public records, police say. He's accused of using the false identity of Asher Potts, including using a false date of birth, social security card and other documents.

Samarin was enrolled under the name of Asher Potts and was enrolled at John Harris High School since the fall of 2012.

Police found Samarin in possession of a Pennsylvania driver's license under the name of Asher Potts when he was arrested.

Samarin, posing at Potts, also appeared as a member of the ROTC at the school and received recognition awards, including from Rep. Patty Kim, according to a tweet from Kim's account dating back to May 30, 2014. Cont.
