Woman Helping Open Thousands Of Christmas Cards Stole Gifts She'd Find

Story out of Rotterdam, New York:

Rotterdam Police say they received a complaint from the Safyre’s Angels organization on January 25, 2016 that volunteers may be stealing from the organization.

Volunteers were called upon to assist the organization in opening the more than 1 million Christmas cards the organization received this past Christmas season.

Many of the cards contained cash and gift cards to local retailers. Organizers received information that some volunteers may be stealing and contacted police.

On Thursday, February 25, Rotterdam Detectives arrested 41-year-old Kimberly Bradford of Elizabeth Street in Rotterdam. She is being charged with Grand Larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony. She was arraigned and remanded to the custody of the Schenectady County Sheriff in lieu of 5,000.00 cash bail. Cont.
