Conservative radio talk host Glenn Beck on Saturday night asked people to join him in a fast in support of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, whom he is supporting in the GOP presidential election.
"I would like to ask you to join me and my family Monday in a fast for Ted Cruz, our country and the Nevada caucus," Beck posted on his Facebook page after Cruz finished a close third in the South Carolina GOP primary.
While Beck is backing Cruz's candidacy, he said others can join his fast and pray for the candidate of their choosing and for the future of American in general.
One woman pointed out, however, that Beck had specifically mentioned Cruz in his original post, and also challenged him on not following Jesus' command in Matthew 6:18 to not let it be known when you are fasting. Cont.
