4,500 Pounds Of Chicken Nuggets Recalled


A Georgia company has recalled more than 4,500 pounds of Applegate Farms chicken nuggets because they may contain extraneous plastic materials.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service said Perdue Foods received a consumer complaint of small, solid, clear plastic inside the Applegate Naturals Chicken Nuggets. No adverse reactions have been reported in relation to the products, which were produced Sept. 28, 2015.

The recalled item includes eight-ounce, 18 piece boxes of Applegate Naturals Chicken Nuggets with the best before date 9/27/2016. The packages have the establishment number "P-2617" inside the USDA mark of inspection. Cont.
