Former NFL Player Charged With Raping Developmentally Disabled Woman Last Year
Story out of San Jose, California:
Former 49ers and Raiders defensive tackle Dana Stubblefield was charged Monday with the rape of a disabled woman a year ago, according to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s office.
A press release issued by Deputy District Attorney Tim McInerny on Monday afternoon stated that the 45-year-old Stubblefield sexually assaulted the developmentally disabled victim in April of last year.
On the afternoon of April 9, the victim – who was age 31 at the time – traveled to Stubblefield’s home after he contacted her through a babysitter website to interview for a job. After the assault, the victim immediately went to the Morgan Hill Police Department to report the crime.
Stubblefield – who spent 11 years in the NFL and played with the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins and Oakland Raiders during his career – faces five felony counts related to the assault. If convicted, Stubblefield faces a substantial prison sentence. Cont. (Video/Autoplay)
