Trump's Company Violated US Embargo Against Cuba (Because Of He Course Did)
The embargo was ridiculous to begin with but that stink fish has not found a US law or (or 13-year-old) he doesn't want to violate.
A company controlled by Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for president, secretly conducted business in Communist Cuba during Fidel Castro’s presidency despite strict American trade bans that made such undertakings illegal, according to interviews with former Trump executives, internal company records and court filings.
Documents show that the Trump company spent a minimum of $68,000 for its 1998 foray into Cuba at a time when the corporate expenditure of even a penny in the Caribbean country was prohibited without U.S. government approval. But the company did not spend the money directly. Instead, with Trump’s knowledge, executives funneled the cash for the Cuba trip through an American consulting firm called Seven Arrows Investment and Development Corp. Once the business consultants traveled to the island and incurred the expenses for the venture, Seven Arrows instructed senior officers with Trump’s company—then called Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts—how to make it appear legal by linking it after the fact to a charitable effort. (POS)
The payment by Trump Hotels came just before the New York business mogul launched his first bid for the White House, seeking the nomination of the Reform Party. On his first day of the campaign, he traveled to Miami, where he spoke to a group of Cuban-Americans, a critical voting bloc in the swing state. Trump vowed to maintain the embargo and never spend his or his companies’ money in Cuba until Fidel Castro was removed from power.
He did not disclose that, seven months earlier, Trump Hotels already had reimbursed its consultants for the money they spent on their secret business trip to Havana. Cont.

Student Fights Back After Being Suspended For Uncovering School's Plumbing Problem
Story out of Westland, Michigan:
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, one picture almost cost one high school student a mark on her high school record.
Hazel Juco says when she saw discolored water coming from the sink, it upset her.
“I always hope that someone will see it and want to help us. Because our school obviously doesn’t have money.”
A short time later, she got called down to the office at John Glenn high in the Wayne Westland school district.
“They told me I was being suspended for three days oss for taking a picture. Its inappropriate use of electronics in the restroom. And everyone in my school, every girl takes selfies in the bathroom and makes it their profile pictures on like twitter or Facebook and whatever and no one has gotten in trouble.”
Dozens of students protested by tweeting bathroom pictures they took without getting in trouble. I called Wayne Westland superintendent Dr. Michele Harmala. She looked right into it and says she found out high school administrators made mistakes. They didn’t report the water issue to maintenance. So she did.
Dr. Michele Harmala, the superintendent said, “So I reached out to them. They sent a plumber out right away. We do have a piece of the pipe that leaks out to the faucet that was corroding and needed to be replaced.”
[Kim] Russel [Reporter] [Told Juco], “She said she is going to take the oss of[f] your record.”
Juco said, “I’m so happy about that.” Cont. (Video)

"Every Alt-Right Nazi I Know Is Volunteering For The Trump Campaign" - Trump Emboldening White Supremacy
I don't know how the U.S. pulls themselves out of this hate tailspin after the election. Trump is such a disgusting waste of space. The republicans yesterday showed just how out of control and like Trump they are. "Believe me," they will try to pull this shit show again in 4 years.
Trump’s surprise rise to become the GOP presidential nominee, built largely on a willingness to openly criticize minority groups and tap into long-simmering racial divisions, has reenergized white supremacist groups and drawn them into mainstream American politics like nothing seen in decades.
White nationalist leaders who once shunned presidential races have endorsed Trump, marking the first time some have openly supported a candidate from one of the two main parties.
Members are showing up at his rallies, knocking on doors to get out the vote and organizing debate-watching parties.
White supremacists are active on social media and their websites report a sharp rise in traffic and visitors, particularly when posting stories and chat forums about the New York businessman.
Andrew Anglin, editor of the Daily Stormer website and an emerging leader of a new generation of millennial extremists, said he had “zero interest” in the 2012 general election and viewed presidential politics as “pointless.” That is, until he heard Trump.
“Trump had me at ‘build a wall,’” Anglin said. “Virtually every alt-right Nazi I know is volunteering for the Trump campaign.”
But Trump’s positions, which reflect intense nationalism, suspicion of Muslims and a call for sharp reductions of legal immigration and expulsion of illegal immigrants, have provided greater legitimacy to ideas once viewed as too divisive for the mainstream. Many of Trump’s statements have been interpreted as a kind of dog whistle to white nationalist groups.
For decades white supremacist groups have largely boycotted the two major political parties, which likewise wanted nothing to do with them. But as David Duke’s candidacy shows, Trump’s campaign — whether it intended to or not — has opened the door for white nationalist groups to come out the shadows. Cont.

"Men Can Walk Around Just Rotund As All Get Out" - Co-Host Of Morning Joe Can't Fathom How Fat Tanks Of Men Like Trump, Gingrich Can Criticize Women
Mika Brzezinski conducted a session of Consciousness Raising 101 on Morning Joe Thursday morning as she responded to Donald Trump’s continuing remarks about former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, the 1996 crown holder whom Trump claimed gained so much weight during her tenure that he was forced to put her on an exercise regime. On Wednesday night interview with Bill O’Reilly, Trump continued to talk about Machado, despite the fact that his fat-shaming of her has angered women across the political spectrum.
Brzezinski introduced the segment by showing the exchange between O’Reilly and Trump, in which O’Reilly asked the Republican nominee if he had “anything to say” about the matter. Trump responded with a series of short sentences in which he argued that he “hardly knew this person,” but then went on to argue that he had “saved her job” when other pageant officials had wanted to fire her for gaining weight. Unable to let the matter lie, he said, “It is a beauty contest,” before arguing that he had become the victim in all of this. “Can you imagine? I end up in a position like this?” he said to O’Reilly, arguing that he had been the good guy, trying to save Machado’s job, but now he was being blamed.
“People like Donald Trump and Newt Gingrich and men can walk around just rotund as all get out,” said Mika. “And it’s not an issue. But women, in order to be beautiful, you have to be 117 pounds. I’m sorry. Can someone tell me what year we’re in here? Is it 2016? I think we’re back in the 70s…”
Joe offered his imitation of O’Reilly asking Trump the question about Machado. “Yo. You got anything to say about this beauty pageant thing?”
Mika went after O’Reilly’s journalism skills, and shamed male journalists for dismissing the shaming of women as an insignificant story. Cont. (Video)

Man Jailed After Feeding Dog Cocaine, Ripping His Ears Off With Pliers
Story out of Wrexham, Wales:
Christopher Griffiths carried out the ‘deliberate and planned operation’ on his Staffordshire bull terrier, Victor, last September.
He’s now been jailed for 24 weeks for the cruelty which took place at his home in Wrexham and banned from keeping animals for 10 years.
Griffiths, 35, denied what he had done but was found guilty after being taken to trial by the RSPCA.
Two of his other dogs, Ned and Brandy, were also taken into care of the charity.
Prosecutor Glen Murphy said officers went to Griffiths’ home after reports he had been assaulted and found significant amounts of blood at the scene.
Victor was placid despite his injuries, possibly due to the effects of cocaine which was found in the dog’s urine.
Griffiths claimed he had been attacked because he had refused to allow drugs to be stored at his home and while he was on the ground, his assailant used the pliers to remove Victor’s ears.
Victor was taken to an emergency vet and showed no signs of anxiety or aggression during examination, as well as only low levels of pain.
District judge Gwyn Jones said: It is clear this was a deliberate and planned operation which would have taken some time to exact. Cont.

"If He Hadn’t Been Wearing Glasses At The Time He Could Have Lost His Sight" - Bullies Pour Bleach Onto 11-Year-Old's Eyes
Story out of Birmingham, England:
A pupil who had bleach poured into his eyes by bullies while walking home from his Birmingham school had his sight saved because he was wearing glasses.
The pupil, aged 11, was hospitalised following the attack in Birdbrook Road, Great Barr, on September 22 and hasn’t been back to Great Barr School since.
Doctors told his parents he would most likely have lost part of his sight if it wasn’t for the glasses he was wearing.
The boy, who had just started his first term at the school, had been walking home with two friends when he was approached by a group of six boys.
The mother of one of the children, who is also aged 11, said: “My son rang me to say his friend had been attacked. I could hear the shouting and the screaming in the background. He said these two boys had approached him. One held him down while the other poured a bottle of bleach, which was in a fizzy drink bottle into his eyes.
A spokesman for Great Barr School said: “The incident happened outside school time. However, we take incidents such as these very seriously. We have dealt with the incident internally which we are keeping confidential. It is now a police matter.” Cont. (Video/Autoplay)

Texas State Prisons Allow Prisoners To Read Mein Kampf And David Duke's "My Awakening," While Banning Other Books Like "The Color Purple," Dante's Inferno"
(Southern accent) They just want to ensure their white residents are as comfortable as possible.
States have been censoring books that go to prisons for ages, but there are some guidelines to how it's done. In 1989 the U.S. Supreme Court concluded prisons could only censor publications when the decision is tied to prison issues (such as the potential for starting a riot or making a weapon) and when the reasoning behind the censorship is "legitimate and neutral." Anything else violates the First Amendment rights of the publishers and the prisoners, as the Texas Civil Rights Project noted in its report on TDCJ banned books published in 2011.
In Texas, the guidelines are pretty simple: prisoners can only receive books from publishers or bookstores, to prevent people smuggling other illicit items in with the books.
Anything from a little nudity on the cover — it doesn't matter how classy — to racially charged language or scenes that are just too sexy can get a book flagged. The books are reviewed by prison mail clerks and if a book is not on a master list of approved reading material, the mail clerk looks the book over and decides, based on the aforementioned guidelines, whether it should be given to the prisoner or not.
And there are definitely some loopholes in the system. Prisoners can't read Alice Walker's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel The Color Purple, but they can get copies of Mein Kampf, according to the Texas Civil Rights Project. An edition of Shakespeare's Sonnets has been banned because of a nude painting on the cover, but David Duke's My Awakening is just fine. Prisoners can't read Dante's Inferno, Salmon Rushdie's The Satanic Verses, or Buzz Bissinger's Friday Night Lights, but they can get copies of Che Guevara's Guerrilla Warfare, according to the report. Republican Newspaper Endorses Hillary Clinton, First Democrat Endorsement In It's Over 100 Year Existence
Since The Arizona Republic began publication in 1890, we have never endorsed a Democrat over a Republican for president. Never. This reflects a deep philosophical appreciation for conservative ideals and Republican principles.
This year is different.
The 2016 Republican candidate is not conservative and he is not qualified.
That’s why, for the first time in our history, The Arizona Republic will support a Democrat for president.
The challenges the United States faces domestically and internationally demand a steady hand, a cool head and the ability to think carefully before acting.

Story out of Atlanta, Georgia:
An Alabama man is accused of importing a Chinese drug sold as a Viagra substitute and selling it to gas stations.
Nabil Chagri, 38, of Hoover, Alabama, has been charged with intentionally defrauding and misleading consumers, federal prosecutors said.
Lab tests on the product, Zhen Gong Fu, revealed the drug sildenafil, a potentially dangerous ingredient not listed on the label, authorities said. It can lower blood pressure to perilous levels in men who are taking nitrates for heart disease, diabetes and other conditions.
Prosecutors said that from April 14, 2015 to March 22, 2016, Chagri received “numerous” shipments from China containing products that promise to give men erections.
“Chagri would then deliver and sell the male enhancement products to various gas stations and wholesale distributors (who would, in turn, sell the products to retail outlets such as gas stations or convenience stores), for sale to final customers,” court documents state.
Chagri has pleaded not guilty. He was released from jail on a $5,000 bond. His federal public defenders in Birmingham didn’t immediately return requests for comment Tuesday. Cont.

Black Student Dresses As Slave For "Decades Day" But Told To Remove It Or Face Suspension
Texas motto: No history, no foul.
Story out of Missouri City, Texas:
A Fort Bend ISD high school student said he was forced to change his outfit after showing up to school dressed as a slave for “Decades Day” at his high school on Tuesday.
Brian Ibe is a senior at Ridge Point High School in Missouri City.
This week is spirit week, in honor of homecoming. Each day, the students dress up in costume according to the day’s theme.
On Tuesday, the theme was “Decades Day,” and Ibe showed up to school wearing a ball and chain and a shredded T-shirt splattered in fake blood, and he was carrying a pitchfork and bag of cotton.
Ibe said he wanted to recognize the plight of his ancestors, but school administrators weren’t on the same page.
Ibe ended up changing out of his costume to avoid an in-school suspension.
While he admitted some people might find the outfit offensive, he said it’s part of United States history and there is no reason to cover it up. Cont. (Video)

New York Times Hilariously Roasts Trump In It's Review Of A Book About Hitler
The New York Times hints at parallels between Trump and Hitler in it's review of "Hitler, Ascent."
Hitler was an effective orator and actor, Mr. Ullrich reminds readers, adept at assuming various masks and feeding off the energy of his audiences. Although he concealed his anti-Semitism beneath a “mask of moderation” when trying to win the support of the socially liberal middle classes, he specialized in big, theatrical rallies staged with spectacular elements borrowed from the circus. Here, “Hitler adapted the content of his speeches to suit the tastes of his lower-middle-class, nationalist-conservative, ethnic-chauvinist and anti-Semitic listeners,” Mr. Ullrich writes. He peppered his speeches with coarse phrases and put-downs of hecklers. Even as he fomented chaos by playing to crowds’ fears and resentments, he offered himself as the visionary leader who could restore law and order.
Hitler increasingly presented himself in messianic terms, promising “to lead Germany to a new era of national greatness,” though he was typically vague about his actual plans. He often harked back to a golden age for the country, Mr. Ullrich says, the better “to paint the present day in hues that were all the darker. Everywhere you looked now, there was only decline and decay.”
Hitler’s repertoire of topics, Mr. Ullrich notes, was limited, and reading his speeches in retrospect, “it seems amazing that he attracted larger and larger audiences” with “repeated mantralike phrases” consisting largely of “accusations, vows of revenge and promises for the future.” But Hitler virtually wrote the modern playbook on demagoguery, arguing in “Mein Kampf” that propaganda must appeal to the emotions — not the reasoning powers — of the crowd. Its “purely intellectual level,” Hitler said, “will have to be that of the lowest mental common denominator among the public it is desired to reach.” Because the understanding of the masses “is feeble,” he went on, effective propaganda needed to be boiled down to a few slogans that should be “persistently repeated until the very last individual has come to grasp the idea that has been put forward.” Cont.

Blind Woman Lived With Son's Corpse For 20 Years
That's a lot of Febreze.
Story out of Brooklyn, New York:
A blind, elderly woman is believed to have lived with the skeletal remains of her son for up to 20 years.
According to New York detectives, Rita Wolfensohn who was also a prolific hoarder, may not have even be aware she was sharing her home with the corpse of her son.
The discovery was made by Wolfensohn’s sister-in-law Josette Buchman, who found a “completely intact” skeleton, dressed in jeans, socks and a shirt, lying on its back on a thin mattress on the floor, the New York Post reported.
The room he was found in was steeped in rubbish and cobwebs – as if “a garbage truck has dumped its load”, sources said. Any smell of decomposing flesh is likely to have been masked by the stench of rotting food.
“It’s like some reverse ‘Psycho’ scene,” an officer told the newspaper, referring to the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock film in which a son lives with his dead mother.
Though the body has not yet been formally identified, detectives believe it is her son and that he died of natural causes. Neighbours reported last seeing him around 20 years ago. Cont.

High School Cheerleaders Fight Back When School Tells Them They Can't Wear Uniforms After Boy Gets An Erection
Story out of Provo, Utah:
A group of high school cheerleaders in Utah are speaking out after they were told not to wear their cheerleading outfits to school because one boy found it distracting.
According to a report from People, the 44 members of the cheerleading squad at Timpview High School in the heavily Mormon land of Provo, Utah, typically wear their uniforms to class on game days to show their school spirit. But that practice came to an end after one boy complained to his mom that they were causing him to have “impure thoughts.” Let’s take a second to really imagine the kind of fucked up purity culture would make a kid complain to his mom about that.
Rather than explain to her son that his impure thoughts are his problem and not that of 44 spirited girls, the mom emailed an administrator, who told the cheerleading coach, who instructed the squad not to wear their uniforms to school this past Friday.
According to anonymous acrobats (whose identities were protected for fear of backlash in their judgmental communities), school administrators called a meeting to figure out what to do about this pickle, but it proved a veritable Gordian knot of competing values. Then an assistant principal made the call, possibly unilaterally: The embarrassing boner of the one outweighed the school pride of the many.
Most of the cheerleaders were upset about what happened, with one telling PEOPLE, “it’s giving this boy power that when he grows up and does something to a girl, he can blame it on her skirt being too short. It really made me angry. Why should this boy have control over what we wear?” Several of the girls’ parents were also frustrated, calling the situation “nonsense.”
Caught in a PR nightmare, the school released a statement saying it was all a big misunderstanding:
“It’s a misunderstanding between the cheerleading advisor and a member of the school administration who gave her a message about the boy’s concerns,” [school spokesman Caleb] Price tells PEOPLE. “The school was never going to say you can’t wear your uniforms or dress in a certain way.” Cont.

Grandmother Arrested For Covering Up Daughter's Murder Of Her Son Over Potty Training
Well, shit. Story out of Bismarck, North Dakota:
Federal authorities have arrested and charged the grandmother of a 2-year-old boy who was allegedly killed by his mother due to potty-training issues on South Dakota’s Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
Sonya Dubray, 47, is accused of hindering the investigation by altering or destroying evidence and giving false and misleading information to investigators, court documents show. She allegedly laundered the dead boy’s clothes, cleaned the crime scene, misled investigators about alleged abuse against the boy and falsely told a Bureau of Indian Affairs special agent that the child was potty-trained.
Dubray faces charges, including accessory to murder and tampering with evidence, and could face up to 43 years in prison if convicted. She was arrested Monday and is due to make her initial appearance Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Rapid City.
Dubray’s daughter is Katrina Shangreaux, 28, who has pleaded not guilty to murder and child abuse in the death of her son Kylen on July 28.
The boy was in his mother’s custody and living at his grandmother’s home in Porcupine when he died. He had bruises, bite marks and other injuries, and evidence suggests a potty-training issue triggered the killing, FBI Special Agent Mark Lucas said in an affidavit. Cont.

YouTuber Convinced Rubes To Drill Into Their iPhone 7 To Create Headphone Jack
A video claiming that users can add a headphone socket to the iPhone 7, which only has a Lightning port, by drilling into the bottom of their phone has been watched almost 10m times.
The prank video shows a man drilling a 3.5mm hole into the bottom left edge of the iPhone 7 held in a vice. It points to the row of small holes on the left side that replaced the headphone socket present on the iPhone 6S and claims that drilling into the second hole on the left reveals a hidden socket.
Once the hole has been drilled the video shows an iPhone 7 playing music, although the sound comes out of the speakers, not the white headphones now inserted in the DIY hole.
The video was produced by Sacramento, California-based Ukrainian YouTuber Taras Maksimuk who “specialises in smashing technology for your pleasure” according to his profile. Some of Maksimuk’s other videos include “what happens if you microwave an iPhone 7” and “can the iPhone 7 survive in liquid nitrogen for five minutes”.
The YouTube video’s comment section – normally a place filled with vitriol and despair for humanity – was full of people claiming to have performed the operation and destroying their iPhone 7 in the process, the sincerity of which is questionable.
Lukelaluke123 said: “ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I WAITD TILL MY DAD WAS SLEEP THEN I WENT TO THE GARAGE AND GOT HIS DIRLL AND DID THIS ND NOW MY IPHONE WONT NOT EVEN WORK!!!!! YOU ARE SUCH ASCUM BAG WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS IM GOING TO MAEK SURE YOURE UTUBE CHANNEL IS GETS SHUT DOWN.”
The video received over 134,000 likes, but just under 88,000 dislikes. It’s unclear how many of the dislikes were from people who had been tricked into drilling a hole into their £600-plus smartphone. Cont.

University Of Michigan Removes Neo-Nazi Posters Around Campus
Story out of Ann Arbor, Michigan:
A group of racially charged flyers appeared on the central campus of the University of Michigan on Monday morning, drawing condemnation from top U-M officials, according to a statement from the university.
The posters were taken down Monday morning by a student who spotted them, officials said.
One poster argued that white women should not date black men, while a separate poster depicted a “STOP!” sign while urging “Euro-Americans” to stop “living in fear” and “denying (their) heritage,” according to a tweet from U-M’s Black Student Union.
The posters both carried an “Alt-Right” (Neo-Nazi) logo. They first appeared in Haven and Mason halls, according to the statement, which denounced the posters and said they “espouse a racist point of view.”
The flyers come less than one week after a similar incident at Eastern Michigan University: racial slurs and the letters "KKK" were spray-painted in red, white and blue on the side of a campus building. The rest of the message said, "Leave" followed by a racial slur for black people. The messages sparked a protest with more than 150 students. Cont.

Imam Murders Man Over Cartoon Facebook Post
I mean, as an outsider, one would think the Koran is just a list of cartoons it hates. And oh, does it hate cartoons.
Story out of Amman, Jordan:
56-year-old Nahed Hattar, a Jordanian writer and Christian-turned-atheist, was assassinated in the capital city of Amman, apparently in response to posting this cartoon (or a version of it) on his Facebook wall — a cartoon he later deleted and apologized for. It shows a man in paradise, in bed with two women, treating God as a servant.
He was heading to the Supreme Court for a preliminary hearing on charges of offending Islam (over the same cartoon) when he was killed by a man since identified as Riad Abdullah, a local imam.
If the purpose of the cartoon was to show just how demented the beliefs of Islamic terrorists were… well, they proved his point, didn’t they? It’s not just the warped idea of martyrdom leading to glory in the afterlife, it’s the belief that any criticism of their beliefs is a crime worthy of death. Cont.

I typed it into google... god damn ISIS.
Story out of Toronto, Ontario:
A man is in life-threatening condition after being encased in hot tar that solidified during an industrial accident in Toronto on Monday morning.
Rescuers worked for more than an hour to free the man after the incident, which occurred shortly after 7:30 a.m., according to police.
Const. Clint Stibbe said the truck that was carrying a vat of hot, liquid tar, came to a sudden stop in the city's east end after the driver noticed a boom attached to the vehicle fell to the road.
There were three men in the back, Stibbe said, when the abrupt stop caused the tar, which was kept around 200 Celsius, to spill onto one of the men, trapping him inside.
"When (the tar) came out of the reservoir it went all around and when tar is exposed to the air, it hardened very quickly," Toronto Fire Services platoon chief Dave Denysek told reporters at the scene.
He said firefighters had to slice away part of the truck before slowly cutting hardened tar in small pieces away from the man's body.
The man wasn't wearing protective clothing at the time, Stibbe said, but credited his clothing for partial protection.
"The victim suffered serious burns to his head and arms," and is in the burn unit of a local trauma centre, said Evert Steenge of Toronto Paramedic Services. Cont.

Woman Complains, Gets Halloween Decoration Removed From Home Depot Shelves
I was against it's removal before I read it was 30 frickin' dollars, yo.
Seriously tho, Halloween is for fright and offence, and there is nothing wrong with the toy... except it's price... 30 bones, come on!
Home Depot says it will pull the Scary Peeper Creeper from its shelves after a woman who saw the Halloween window decoration in a Markham, Ont., store complained it makes light of predatory behaviour against women.
Equipped with suction cups for mounting outside a window, the decoration costs $29 and features the full-sized head, face and hands of a creepy-looking, hooded man peering into a window. The decoration is made to look life-like, not cartoonish.
The intention is to scare anyone opening the blinds from inside the house on a dark night. A description on Home Depot's website says the Scary Peeper Creeper is "perfect for scaring friends and family during Halloween or any other time of the year."
After spotting the decoration in the store, Breanne Hunt-Wells contacted CBC News to complain, saying the Creeper is "inappropriate and makes light of a real-life, sinister issue that women face in our society."
Hunt-Wells, a teacher and mother of two, said she has researched the issue since discovering the decoration, and said voyeurism can often escalate into sexual assaults, including rape. "This is not a harmless crime," she said.
CBC raised the issue with Home Depot over the weekend and the store agreed it wasn't appropriate. Cont.

Child Diagnosed With Leprosy In California
Story out of Jurupa Valley, California:
A case of leprosy, extremely rare in the United States, has been diagnosed in a Southern California elementary school student, sending health officials scrambling to reassure parents and the public that the disease is hard to transmit and easy to treat.
Two children from Indian Hills Elementary School in Jurupa Valley had initially been diagnosed by a local doctor with the condition known medically as Hansen's disease, Riverside County health officials said Thursday. But this week they received results from the National Hansen's Disease Laboratory Research Program in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and they showed that only one of the children had tested positive.
Emails were sent to parents at the elementary school, where classrooms had been sanitized since the initial diagnosis, emphasizing how hard it is to contract leprosy and that there is no danger to the child's classmates. Cont.

Disgruntled Lawyer Dresses Like Nazi To Go On Shooting Spree, 9 Injured
Gee, I can't imagine why a Nazi would have a troubled work environment.
Story out of Houston, Texas:
A gunman who injured at least nine people in Houston, Texas, on Monday was a disgruntled lawyer who wore a military-style outfit affixed with Nazi emblems during the attack, officials say.
Authorities said the gunman had two weapons and more than 2,500 rounds of live ammunition when he opened fire in front of a condo complex near a strip mall, injuring nine people Monday morning before being fatally shot by police, Houston Police Department Homicide Captain Dwayne Ready said at a press conference. (Police have not yet publicly named the gunman.)
"We did find some old Nazi emblems [with] some of his personal effects. I understand there are also some where he lived," Ready said. "There's also other, what I would refer to as, historic or vintage military stuff within the apartment going back to the civil war."
Houston police tweeted on Monday that the gunman is a lawyer, adding that they are working to determine "if issues at his firm led to the shooting."
Mayor Sylvester Turner reportedly told KTRK-TV that the shooter was a "disgruntled" attorney who was "either fired or had a bad relationship with his law firm," the Associated Press reports.
The suspect randomly shot at drivers in the Houston neighborhood, the AP reports. Six people were shot and three suffered eye injuries from flying glass.
Police said on Monday they believe the man acted alone and officials are investigating a motive. Cont.

Christian School Forfeits Soccer Game After Not Wanting To Play With Icky Girls
Icky icky girls, and shitty shitty Christians.
Jesus would play with the girls
Story out of Scottsdale, Arizona:
An Arizona boys high school soccer team forfeited a match last week after refusing to play its opponent because there were girls on the roster.
Citing the school's religious beliefs, Mesa-based Faith Christian School refused to take the field when Foothills Academy College Prep said it would not play without the girls, according to Richard Obert of AZ Central.
Foothills chose to play one game without the two female students earlier this season when another school threatened to forfeit. This time, the male players voted to refuse to play without the girls, Alyssa and Colette Hocking.
"Actually, it was the team's decision," Foothills coach Steven Rains said. "They would not play without their team. They felt the girls earned the right to be on the team. And they won't play without them."
"You can't disrespect their religion," (yes you can) said Foothills junior striker Dallas Fox. "That's their beliefs. I have my own beliefs. I am not one to judge that. But, personally, I think we're all humans. Even though it's a boys league, it doesn't say girls can't play. Girls can play, in my opinion."
Foothills' only loss of the season came during the game it played without the girls, which was a decision by their mother. Cont.

U.S. Taxpayers Are Footing The Bill For Trump's "Yuge" And "Classy" Champagne Jet
Taxpayers are now picking up most of Donald Trump’s air travel costs, unnecessarily spending millions of dollars because he insists on flying aboard his luxury 757 instead of a practical plane.
And because the GOP presidential nominee owns both the company that owns the jetliner and the one that operates it, some percentage of that taxpayer money is likely winding up as profit in Trump’s personal bank account.
The bombastic businessman has often bragged about the comforts of his ride, with its full bedroom, shower and 24-karat gold-plated bathroom fixtures. But because it seats so few passengers, Trump’s Secret Service agents appear to make up more than half of the plane’s flight manifests. And that means taxpayers are now legally required to pick up the majority of its staggering running costs.
Over the first three months of this year, after Trump asked for and received Secret Service protection, the agency’s payments to his campaign accounted for 48 percent of the $1.7 million that it paid Tag Air Inc., the candidate’s company that operates the aging jet.
Politico, which first reported these payments, put the total the Secret Service paid to the Trump campaign at $1.6 million. But a closer look at campaign finance filings shows that the U.S. Secret Service covered more than $2.3 million of the $3.8 million Trump’s campaign has paid Tag Air in 2016.
This lavish spending, though, came at the expense of donors who willingly gave money to Trump. The Secret Service payments to fly on Trump’s glitzy but inefficient plane hit taxpayers, potentially creating problems for him if public anger translates into a drop in support, the Center for Responsive Politics’ Bob Biersack said.
“The issue is that he’s chosen that particular plane,” Biersack said, adding that FEC commissioners likely never contemplated that a candidate would choose such an extravagant mode of transportation. Nor did anyone guess that taxpayers could wind up on the hook if it did happen, Biersack added. “It was never anticipated that the proportion of campaign travelers would be so heavily tilted toward federal officials.” Cont.

F*ck The Pope - 5 Days After Catholic Church Acquits Mexican Priest With HIV Who Admitted Raping 30 Young Girls, Pope Francis Shows Support For Large Protest Against Gay-Marriage In Mexico
The reality should be, tens of thousands protest the Catholic Church's mind boggling support, and at this point flat out endorsement of child raping Catholic Pedophiles... FUCK THE POPE!
Story out of Mexico City, Mexico:
The Catholic Church has acquitted an HIV-infected priest who has admitted to raping close to 30 young girls between the ages of five and 10 years old.
According to a bombshell report, which appeared in the Spanish-language news site Urgente24.com, the priest, Jose Garcia Ataulfo, was absolved of any wrongdoing by the Archdiocese of Mexico.
Ataulfo has admitted to sexually assaulting indigenous young girls from Oaxaca, a state in southern Mexico known for its large indigenous population.
The priest has yet to face any criminal charges, most likely due to the significant influence that the Catholic Church wields in Mexico, particularly in areas populated by indigenous ethnic groups. Cont.
Pope Francis has voiced support for Mexican bishops and citizens opposing the government's push to legalize same-sex marriage.
At his weekly Sunday blessing, Francis said he willingly joined their protest "in favor of family and life, which in these times require special pastoral and cultural attention around the world."
Tens of thousands of people marched through Mexico City on Saturday to protest President Enrique Pena Nieto's proposal on marriage. Wearing white, they held banners warning against same-sex marriage and demanding parents' right to control sex education in schools. Cont.

Russia Is Blocking LGBT Websites
It's bizarre that Putie and his countrymen are always so desperate to convince the world that they're not gay. Spoiler alert, Putie's totally gay.
Russia’s gay-banning frenzy continues. It’s putting pressure on LGBT people all across the country, stopping them from marching, and even pushing some back toward the closet.
Russian hardliners like to claim that homosexuality is an “evil” sent to Russia from the West to reduce the already declining population. But until recently, the internet remained a safe space for Russian homosexuals, and online dating services grew increasingly popular, even in the most provincial towns.
No more.
Earlier this year, a court in the little town of Parabel in Siberia, without any warning or explanation, decided to ban BlueSystem, one of Russia’s most popular LGBT websites. Then the government’s telecommunications agency, Roskomnadzor, reacted to the court decision and banned the site. Internet providers started blocking it, without any notice to the BlueSystem administrators until, this month, the website’s users were astonished to see it shut down completely. Cont.

Scientologists Are Training Attack Dogs Because, Reasons
Story out of Clearwater, Florida:
We have a really strange story for you today. We have no idea what Scientology is thinking on this one, but its employees have been spotted training guard dogs to attack at one of its Florida properties.
One of the Church of Scientology’s less well known facilities is a laundry building owned by the Flag Service Organization which is on the northeast corner of N. Hercules Ave. and Calumet St, about four miles east and north of the Fort Harrison Hotel, the Flag Land Base centerpiece in downtown Clearwater.
The building sits on a large parcel at 2000 Calumet St., which includes trees and a lawn. And on that lawn, Scientology employees have been seen training guard dogs, including an exercise having the dogs attack a man wearing a special protective suit.
Protests at Scientology facilities reached a peak in the early months of 2008 as the Anonymous movement turned its attention to the church. But demonstrations today tend to be much smaller and more sporadic. Why would Scientology need trained attack dogs at the Flag Land Base? Cont.

Anthony's Weiner Investigated Over Sexting With 15-Year-Old
I'm not going to make a dick joke, but seriously, what a pecker.
A law enforcement source tells CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton that the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office in Manhattan are investigating former congressman Anthony Weiner on recent allegations he engaged in sexting with a 15-year-old girl.
The disgraced former congressman has acknowledged he communicated online with a girl who accused him of sending sexually explicit messages, but he said he’s also been the subject of a hoax.
An online news outlet, DailyMail.com, on Wednesday published an interview with the 15-year-old girl, who said the online text and video exchanges, including Skype chats in which Weiner asked her to undress and touch herself, went on for several months this year.
Weiner, who resigned from Congress in 2011 after revelations he was sending sexually explicit messages to multiple women, issued a statement Wednesday apologizing but not directly addressing the issue of whether he had engaged in chats with the girl. Cont.

Cops Slaughter 6-Year-Old, Claim Self Defense
Story out of Marksville, Louisiana:
A deputy city marshal charged with murder after a police body camera captured a 6-year-old boy's fatal shooting is asking a Louisiana judge to throw out his indictment, saying he acted in self-defense by opening fire on a car driven by the boy's father.
Prosecutors from Attorney General Jeff Landry's office said the video shows two deputy marshals firing from "a safe distance" as Christopher Few's car was backing away from them. "Perhaps most important, it shows Few with his hands in the air pleading for the officers to stop firing. They did not," prosecutors wrote in a filing this week.
But Derrick Stafford's attorneys say the video recording lacks audio for the first 27 seconds, making it impossible to determine if Stafford started shooting before or after Few raised his hands inside the car. Neither deputy knew that Few's son, Jeremy Mardis, was strapped in the front seat until after they stopped shooting, Stafford's attorneys added.
State Police have said the deputies opened fire on Few's car after a pursuit joined by a third deputy marshal and Marksville Police Sgt. Kenneth Parnell III. A police report says video from Parnell's body camera shows Few's empty hands were raised and visible inside the vehicle when gunfire erupted. The video hasn't been publicly released.
Stafford and Greenhouse await separate trials on second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder charges. Few was critically wounded in the shooting. Cont.
