Indian Couple Banned From Mount Everest After Faking Photos

An Indian couple have been banned from climbing Nepalese mountains for 10 years after authorities determined that their claimed ascent of Mount Everest this year was faked.

Dinesh Rathod and his wife, Tarakeshwari, both police officers, were hailed as the first Indian couple to climb the world’s highest peak on 23 May.

The couple’s claim, initially verified by Nepalese authorities, was based on photographs they supposedly had taken at the peak.

But in June complaints were lodged by several other mountaineers including Satyarup Siddhanta, a climber from West Bengal, who said the couple had used doctored versions of photographs from his successful ascent two days earlier.

On Tuesday Nepalese tourism officials said an investigation had determined the Rathods never reached the 8,850-metre peak.

The police commissioner in Pune, where the two officers are based, said their fraud was “indeed shocking”. Rashmi Shukla said the couple had “tarnished the image not only of police force but of the whole country.” (I'm pretty sure systematic rape has already done that.) Cont.

Russian Hackers Looking To Disrupt US Election Through Voting Machines

The FBI has uncovered evidence that foreign hackers penetrated two state election databases in recent weeks, prompting the bureau to warn election officials across the country to take new steps to enhance the security of their computer systems, according to federal and state law enforcement officials.

The FBI warning, contained in a “flash” alert from the FBI’s Cyber Division, a copy of which was obtained by Yahoo News, comes amid heightened concerns among U.S. intelligence officials about the possibility of cyberintrusions, potentially by Russian state-sponsored hackers, aimed at disrupting the November elections.

The FBI did not respond to detailed questions about the alert, saying in a statement only that such bulletins are provided “to help systems administrators guard against the actions of persistent cyber criminals.” Menzel, the Illinois election official, said that in a recent briefing, FBI agents confirmed to him that the perpetrators were believed to be foreign hackers, although they were not identified by country. He said he was told that the bureau was looking at a “possible link” to the recent highly publicized attack on the Democratic National Committee and other political organizations, which U.S. officials suspect was perpetrated by Russian government hackers. A Polk County Polling Clerk has been fired after an issue at the polls Tuesday morning.

According to Supervisor of Elections Community Services Director P.J. Leiva, A voter went to Precinct 216, located on South Lakeside Avenue, looking to vote Independent.

The voter was told she couldn’t vote because she was independent, and they didn’t have the correct ballots. After an argument, and a search, the voter was given the correct ballot and she was able to vote.

The worker, who we’re told has been employed for a number of years, was fired shortly after an incident. Cont.

R&B Singer Chris Brown In Police Standoff After Pointing Gun At Woman

Story out of Los Angeles, California:

Chris Brown and the Los Angeles Police Department spent much of Tuesday locked in a surreal standoff at the R&B performer's Tarzana home over allegations that he threatened a woman with a gun.

The woman said Brown pointed the gun at her and she fled in fear, then balked at signing a nondisclosure agreement before escaping from the singer’s property.

For hours, LAPD officers — along with an army of reporters — stood outside the house as Brown refused to let them in. During the impasse, the 27-year-old posted a series of videos on social media in which he railed against the police and said he was being unfairly demonized. "He Just Went In There For Back Surgery" - Woman Kills Husband In Hospital Bed

Story out of Daytona Beach, Florida:

A Palm Coast woman is charged with second-degree murder after police said she killed her husband in his hospital bed at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center.

Daytona Beach police said 62-year-old Jan Sochalski stuck by her husband's bedside from April 7 until his death on May 19. Police arrested her on Monday.

"He just went in there for back surgery and he was not expected to succumb to those injuries," said Jimmie Flynt, of Daytona Beach Police Department.

Sochalski, a retired nurse who practiced for more than 40 years is the prime suspect. An arrest report showed her husband, Henry, was hooked up to a pain-medication machine when Jan Sochalski pressed the button 264 times in an eight hour period. Police said the button should have only been pressed six times an hour.

Investigators also said a nurse saw what appeared as if Sochalski was pinching the victim's nose. Cont. (Video)

"Possessed By The Devil" - Mother Brutally Murders Daughter With Crucifix

Story out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma:

Authorities released disturbing details related to the brutal killing of a woman in Oklahoma City.

On Monday, Juanita Gomez, 49, was arrested on one count of murder related to the death of her daughter.

According to court documents, officers arrived at the home on Aug. 27 and found 33-year-old Geneva Gomez lying on the floor with a large crucifix on her chest.

"Blood was visible, and she had suffered severe trauma around her head and face," the documents state.

Geneva was pronounced dead at the scene.

Juanita, Geneva's mother, told investigators Geneva "was possessed by the devil."

Court documents claim she admitted to punching Geneva repeatedly "and forced a crucifix and religious medallion down her throat until blood came out of her daughter's mouth. Juanita saw her daughter die and then placed her body in the shape of a cross." Cont. (Video)

The time has come for a mental health professional to take a look at Donald Trump on the air, MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski said Monday during a frank discussion of the Republican nominee's well-being.

Brzezinski began "Morning Joe" by noting tweets sent from Trump's account Saturday over the death from gun violence of a cousin of basketball star Dwyane Wade (ironically I call Trump sick in the head in this post), in which Trump declared that African-American voters will support him, pointing to the shooting in Chicago as a symptom that he will solve.

"Morning Joe" devoted a significant portion of its opening block to discussing Trump's mental health, a day after President Barack Obama's former campaign manager David Plouffe described Trump as a "psychopath."

Brzezinski, who Trump has called "crazy" and "neurotic," remarked that "it's time to hear from somebody in the mental health community, to look at this person who has been on television for months and to give us a sense of what we have going on here."

"And, I'm sorry, let's just not — let’s stop pretending we're dealing with someone who we can completely understand," Brzezinski said. "And when you see someone who you think has problems, you know it. And there's not anybody at this table who doesn't think he has some sort of problem. Let's ask the questions. 300 Wild Reindeer Killed By Lightning Storm In Norway

The Norwegian Environment Agency has released eerie images showing a jumble of reindeer carcasses scattered across a small area on the Hardangervidda mountain plateau.

The agency says 323 animals were killed, including 70 calves, in the lightning storm Friday.

Agency spokesman Kjartan Knutsen told said it’s not uncommon for reindeer or other wildlife to be killed by lightning strikes but this was an unusually deadly event.

‘We have not heard about such numbers before,’ he said today.

He said reindeer tend to stay very close to each other in bad weather, which could explain how so many were killed at once. Cont.

University Of Missouri Purposely Blinded 6 Beagles Before Murdering Them

Story out of Columbia, Missouri:

A quartet of professors at the University of Missouri-Columbia purposefully blinded six beagles — and then killed them after the research they were conducting failed to heal their wounded corneas.

That's according to a paper published in the 2016 Journal of Veterinary Opthamology, which details the ineffective treatment and the dogs' untimely end. The pups were just nine to twelve months at the time they endured the experiment and then were killed.

Dan Kolde is a St. Louis-based attorney for the Beagle Freedom Project, which seeks to rescue and protect the dogs, who are frequently used in scientific research. Even beyond his horror at the study, he says he's horrified that the university failed to work with his group to rehome the dogs.

"We would have found them homes," he says. "The Beagle Freedom Project would have happily taken these dogs."

Kolde had previously filed a lawsuit against Mizzou on behalf of the Beagle Freedom Project, seeking records relating to the university's care of beagles. The non-profit sought basic records that Mizzou is required by law to maintain. Yet the university sought to charge it $82,222 — as much as $7 a page.

Sleeping Baby Survives Being Shot After Drive-By

Story out of Pasco County, Florida:

A baby is recovering after authorities in Florida say she was struck by a bullet from a drive-by shooting as she slept in her home.

Pasco County Sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said multiple shots were fired outside the 1-year-old girl's house in New Port Richey late Sunday.

Doll says the child was struck in the wrist. She was taken to a hospital and her condition isn't thought to be life-threatening. The girl's name was not released.

Investigators say the shooting doesn't appear to be random. In a news release early Monday, Doll said the child's mother is a "documented gang member." Cont.

Guest At Hotel Sleep On Bed Unaware The Body Of A Murdered Transgendered Woman Stuffed In Bed Frame

Two teenage boys, one 17 and the other 14, were arrested on charges of murdering a transgender woman in a Pattaya hotel and stuffing the body inside a bed frame.

Police apprehended the teens, both from Nakhon Ratchasima, at a bus terminal in Muang Chon Buri district around noon and took them for questioning at Muang Pattaya police station.

The body of Amphon Kongsong was found in a room of a five-storey hotel on Soi Buakhao in tambon Nong Phrue of Bang Lamung district on Saturday morning. The hotel alerted police after a maid noticed blood oozing out from underneath the bed accompanied by a foul stench.

Police officers lifted up the mattress and found Amphon’s body underneath. Two guests had left the room earlier that morning but apparently were unaware that there was a dead body under their bed. Cont.

Chinese 'Jack the Ripper' Caught After Years 28 Years Of Hiding

An alleged serial killer, who is accused of raping and murdering 11 female victims in northern China over more than a decade, has been captured by police, say local reports.

Gao Chengyong, called China's "Jack the Ripper", was detained at a grocery store he runs with his wife.

He admitted to the killings, which took place between 1988 and 2002, according to the Ministry of Public Security.

The 52-year-old is a married father of two.

A female cisgender student in Pennsylvania told school officials she will be discriminated against if her high school complies with an Obama administration guideline allowing transgender students to use restrooms and changing rooms that correspond with their gender identity.

Sigourney Coyle, who is set to enter ninth grade at Emmaus High School this year, told an East Penn School Board on Monday she did not want to undress in the same changing room as transgender students for religious reasons.

After the White House issued the guideline, Sigourney Coyle began sitting out of her middle school gym class because she did not feel comfortable using a changing room that transgender students could also use.

Aryn Coyle did not immediately return requests for comment from BuzzFeed News, but wrote on Facebook — in a post that opened with “the battle begins” — that she had tried to send her daughter to school “with a letter exempting her from gym class indefinitely based on our religious beliefs.”

As Sigourney Coyle prepares to now enter high school, she told the school board she fears she will not be able to complete the mandatory gym classes required to graduate.

The teenager told the school board meeting that an Emmaus High School official had given her permission to take gym class in the summer in a bid to better accommodate her.

Although Aryn Coyle wrote on Facebook on Sunday that her daughter was “thrilled” with the development, she later told the Morning Call this was a “band-aid” solution. Cont.

Murder-Suicide Suspected In Death Of 5 Family Members Including 6-Year-Old

Gardaí are treating the death of a family of five in Co Cavan as a murder-suicide.

Gardaí were called to a house in the townland of Barconey outside Ballyjamesduff where the bodies of a couple and their three children were discovered.

The man was in his 40s and the woman in her 30s. Their three sons were 13, 11 and six. The family were well known in the area.

Gardaí say the alarm was raised at about 10.45am when someone called to the house and became suspicious. They contacted gardaí and a search of the house was conducted.

Three bodies were found upstairs and two downstairs.

No firearms were found in the house. Cont.

Donald Trump’s campaign CEO fired a new mother suffering from multiple sclerosis while she was on maternity leave, according to a lawsuit obtained exclusively by The Post.

“Julia Panely-Pacetti, a new mother who suffers from multiple sclerosis, was terminated by defendants from her position as head of public relations and corporate marketing because of her sex and her disability,” states the lawsuit, filed in Manhattan federal court in September 2005.

The action was filed against American Vantage Companies, Panely-Pacetti’s then-employer, where she reported directly to Stephen Bannon, Trump’s top adviser and the chief of Breitbart News.

Panely-Pacetti claimed she was fired “while she was on a protected Family and Medical Leave Act maternity leave, even though she had been forced to continue performing her job responsibilities from home throughout her maternity leave,” the suit states.

News of the lawsuit comes just days after The Post exclusively reported that the man hired to remake Trump’s image roughed up and threatened his wife during their marriage, and also spanked their toddler twin girls, according to legal papers filed in their subsequent divorce case. Cont.

Two Pilots Arrested For Being Drunk In Scotland

Police and airline officials say two United Airlines pilots have been arrested for suspected intoxication before they were to fly 141 passengers from Scotland to the United States.

United Airlines officials have confirmed Saturday's arrest of the pilots, aged 45 and 35, at Glasgow Airport. The Police Service of Scotland says both men are expected to be arraigned Monday at a court in Paisley, a Glasgow suburb, to face charges connected to Britain's transport safety laws.

United said Saturday's flight from Glasgow to the U.S. city of Newark, New Jersey, was delayed for 10 hours while the airline sought replacement pilots. Cont.

“I Think My First Feeling Was Shock” - Evil Catholic Hospital Turns Away Bleeding Woman

Melanie Jones arrived for her doctor’s appointment bleeding and in pain. Jones, 28, who lives in the Chicago area, had slipped in her bathroom, and suspected the fall had dislodged her copper intrauterine device (IUD).

Her doctor confirmed the IUD was dislodged and had to be removed. But the doctor said she would be unable to remove the IUD, citing Catholic restrictions followed by Mercy Hospital and Medical Center and providers within its system.

“I think my first feeling was shock,” Jones told Rewire in an interview. “I thought that eventually they were going to recognize that my health was the top priority.”

The doctor left Jones to confer with colleagues, before returning to confirm that her “hands [were] tied,” according to two complaints filed by the ACLU of Illinois. Not only could she not help her, the doctor said, but no one in Jones’ health insurance network could remove the IUD, because all of them followed similar restrictions. Mercy, like many Catholic providers, follows directives issued by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops that restrict access to an array of services, including abortion care, tubal ligations, and contraception.

Jones left her doctor’s office, still in pain and bleeding. Her options were limited. She couldn’t afford a $1,000 trip to the emergency room, and an urgent care facility was out of the question since her Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois insurance policy would only cover treatment within her network—and she had just been told that her entire network followed Catholic restrictions.

Jones, on the advice of a friend, contacted the ACLU of Illinois. Attorneys there advised Jones to call her insurance company and demand they expedite her network change. After five hours of phone calls, Jones was able to see a doctor who removed her IUD, five days after her initial appointment and almost two weeks after she fell in the bathroom. Cont.

"It's Pretty Gross" - Mysterious Bags Of Brown Goo Found All Over Vancouver Neighbourboods

Residents of two North Vancouver neighbourhoods are puzzled about bags of brown 'goo' that have been strewn across their streets.

"It's pretty gross," said Brian Gardiner, who kept one of the bags to examine. "It looks like a bad batch of chilli, but doesn't smell a lot."

Gardiner says he's seen as many as 15 bags of the mysterious substance in his neighbourhood. He says some were also spotted in the Delbrook area of North Vancouver.

Angela Duso with the Blue Ridge Community Association says she's sure someone is driving in a vehicle and tossing the bags.

Duso adds that she's baffled at how animals have reacted to the substance.

"There were no wasps or bees surrounding it," said Duso. "Crows were not pecking at it, which normally, if garbage was on the road, crows would peck at it."

District councillor Jim Hanson says his staff hasn't been able to determine the contents of the substance, but it's not hazardous. Cont.

Man Arrested After Putting Hydrochloric Acid In Lube Dispensers At Gay Night Club

A 62-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly switching lubricant with acid at a Sydney gay club.

Police said the unnamed man went into the Aarrows club in the Rydalmere area of the city on Saturday and filled a lubricant dispenser with hydrochloric acid.

No-one was hurt following the incident as the dispensers had been fitted with alarms after previous attempts to tamper with them.

Security staff at the club detained the man before police arrived and arrested him on suspicion of administering a poison with intent to injure or cause distress or pain, entering a building with intent, malicious damage and driving while suspended.

Aarrows describes itself as “Sydney’s premier health, recreation and social centre where safe sex is permitted regardless of gender." Cont.

On Monday, Ms. Abedin said in a statement: “After long and painful consideration and work on my marriage, I have made the decision to separate from my husband. Anthony and I remain devoted to doing what is best for our son, who is the light of our life. During this difficult time, I ask for respect for our privacy.”

One Dead After "Large Fight" Breaks Out At Cornell University In New York

Story out of Ithaca, New York:

One Ithaca College student was killed and another was injured after being stabbed during a "large fight" on the nearby Cornell University campus early Sunday in Ithaca, New York, officials from both schools said.

Cornell University Police were called to the intersection in front of Olin Hall, which houses Cornell's school of chemical and biomolecular engineering, just before 2 a.m. There, they found two men had been stabbed, according to a police news release.

Police say the fight broke out after a student-organized event at Cornell, according to a statement from Ithaca College.

Several hundred college-age students attended the event at Willard Straight Hall, the student union, a short walk from the site of the stabbings, and physical altercations broke out after the event, Ithaca police said.

One victim was sent to a local hospital for treatment of "serious injuries," while the other was flown to Upstate Medical Center, a regional trauma center, to be treated for several stab wounds.

Woman Sent For Psychiatric Evaluation After Subway Prank Goes Wrong

Story out of New York City, New York:

The woman who caused a massive panic on a crowded subway train by releasing a swarm of crickets admitted to The Post on Friday that she orchestrated the disgusting stunt in an attempt to go viral on social media.

“I have been doing these pranks for four years now,” self-promoting actress Zaida Pugh said. “This was to show what homeless people go through and how people treat them.”

Pugh, known for a series of bizarre online pranks, said she brought 300 crickets and 300 worms onto the D train Wednesday and had a friend flip the insects into the air — freaking out those straphangers who hadn’t been in cahoots with her.

“Basically the people that is attacking me is a part of the stunt,” she said, adding her friends “also do their own comedy skits online as well.”

But things got even worse when an innocent passenger pulled the emergency brake as the D train was crossing the Manhattan Bridge. Riders were stuck in the cricket-filled car — with no air conditioning — for 30 minutes.

Another unplanned aspect was Pugh urinating on the floor of the subway car.

Donald Trump's campaign CEO Stephen Bannon was branded an anti-Semite by the same ex-wife who claimed he choked her, court documents reveal.

Mary Louise Piccard said in a 2007 court declaration that Bannon didn't want their twin daughters attending the Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles because many Jewish students were enrolled at the elite institution.

"The biggest problem he had with Archer is the number of Jews that attend," Piccard said in her statement signed on June 27, 2007.

"He said that he doesn't like the way they raise their kids to be 'whiny brats' and that he didn't want the girls going to school with Jews," Piccard wrote.

"I told him that there are children who are Jewish at (a competing school), and he asked me what the percentage was. I told him that I didn't know because it wasn't an issue for me as I am not raising the girls to be either anti-Semitic or prejudiced against anyone," she wrote.

Man Shouting "Allahu Akbar" Fatally Stabs Woman, Dog

Story out of Home Hill, Australia:

A French man shouting the Arabic phrase "Allahu akbar" stabbed a British woman to death and wounded two men in an attack at a hostel in northeast Australia, police said Wednesday.

The 29-year-old suspect did not have any known links to the Islamic State group and appeared to have acted alone, Queensland Police Deputy Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said. Police were trying to determine whether the man had been motivated by extremism, or something else.

"While this information will be factored into the investigation, we are not ruling out any motivations at this early stage, whether they be political or criminal," Gollschewski told reporters in the Queensland state capital of Brisbane. "Investigators will also consider whether mental health or drug misuse factors are involved in this incident."

The attack took place Tuesday night at a hostel in the town of Home Hill, south of Townsville in northern Queensland. A 21-year-old British woman was found dead at the scene and a 30-year-old British man was hospitalized in critical condition. A local man was treated and released for injuries. A dog was also fatally wounded in the attack.

The man, a French national visiting Australia, shouted "Allahu akbar" — the Arabic phrase meaning "God is great" — both during the attack and while being arrested by police, Gollschewski said. He has not yet been charged, but police weren't looking for any other suspects related to the incident.

Police were treating the attack as a homicide, rather than a terrorism-related incident, Gollschewski said. Cont.

Egyptian Police Using Grindr To Hunt Gay Men

Authorities in the country have reportedly been using gay dating apps to find and detain members of the LGBT community, The Jerusalem Post reported.

According to lifestyle and entertainment magazine CairoScene, a source close to the city's LGBT community claimed apps such as Grindr are “jeopardising the safety” of many of their members.

The unnamed source said authorities are using the technology to pinpoint the location of users.

They said: “There have been a number of arrests in the last few months linked to these applications.

The personal photographs uploaded by users to their dating profiles makes them easily identifiable to police, it was reported.

Homosexuality is not banned in Egypt but members of the country’s LGBT population have reported experiencing hostility.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has willingly immersed himself into controversy by refusing to stand for the playing of the national anthem in protest of what he deems are wrongdoings against African Americans and minorities in the United States.

His latest refusal to stand for the anthem -- he has done this in at least one other preseason game -- came before the 49ers' preseason loss to Green Bay at Levi's Stadium on Friday night.

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder."

The 49ers issued a statement about Kaepernick's decision: "The national anthem is and always will be a special part of the pre-game ceremony. It is an opportunity to honor our country and reflect on the great liberties we are afforded as its citizens. In respecting such American principles as freedom of religion and freedom of expression, we recognize the right of an individual to choose and participate, or not, in our celebration of the national anthem."

Niners coach Chip Kelly told reporters Saturday that Kaepernick's decision not to stand during the national anthem is "his right as a citizen" and said "it's not my right to tell him not to do something." Cont.

A couple in a tiny town in central Sweden have caused somewhat of a stir by wearing pig masks, targeting Pokemon hunters with lasers and having sex in public.

The unidentified couple took to the waterwheel in Insjön, a town with just over 2,100 inhabitants.

Traffic was stopped on Friday night after the couple, wearing pig masks, targeted a pair of siblings who had ventured out to play Pokemon go.     

The teenagers were hit in the face with the laser as they hunted Pokemon, before the couple, wearing t-shirts emblazoned with “King” and “Queen”, began to have sex beside the town’s waterwheel.

Teen Dies After Girlfriend Gives Him A Hickey

A teen has reportedly died after getting a love bite from his girlfriend that caused him to have a stroke.

Julio Macias Gonzalez started having convulsions at the dinner table with his family in Mexico City after spending an evening with his girlfriend.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene but the 17-year-old could not be saved.

It is thought that the suction of the love bite – also known as a ‘hickey’ – caused a blood clot that travelled to Julio’s brain and caused him to have a stroke.

Man Beats His Parents To Death

A West Deptford man has been charged in the beating deaths of his parents, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.

Edward M. Coles Jr., 58, and his wife, Rosemarie, 55, were found in their Pennfield Drive home around 11:30 a.m. today by a relative who stopped by the house after being unable to reach them by phone.

When police arrived, the couple's son, Ryan Coles, 28, was in the home.

He has been charged with murder and weapons offenses, according to the complaint signed against him.

Coles beat his parents with his hands and an unknown object, authorities said.

Animal rights activists filled a Burlington, Ont., court while others stood vigil outside as the trial began for a woman who gave water to pigs in a sweltering truck on their way to slaughter.

Anita Krajnc of Toronto is charged with mischief and faces jail time or a maximum $5,000 fine for providing water through the narrow openings of a metal trailer to the pigs as they were headed to Fearman's Pork Inc. in Burlington on June 22, 2015.

Krajnc, 49, is part of the group Toronto Pig Save, which regularly holds vigils outside the pork processing plant.

Krajnc has said the pigs were overheated and severely dehydrated. There was a tense confrontation with the truck driver, Jeffrey Veldjesgraaf, which Krajnc's group recorded.

"These are not humans, you dumb frickin' broad," Veldjesgraaf says in the video.

The next day, pork farmer Eric Van Boekel of Mount Elgin, Ont., contacted police. Officers investigated and charged Krajnc with mischief for pouring an "unknown liquid" into the trailer. Cont. (Video)

The voicemail followed a controversy that bubbled up Wednesday when LePage, who’s white, said at a town hall in North Berwick that photos he’s collected in a binder of drug dealers arrested in the state showed that 90 per cent of them “are black and Hispanic people from Waterbury, Connecticut; the Bronx; and Brooklyn.” He displayed the binder at a Friday news conference.

“I want you to prove that I’m a racist,” LePage told Gattine in the voicemail Thursday, adding that he had spent his life helping black people and calling Gattine a vulgar name related to oral sex.

Gattine said he was stunned to receive the voicemail. “My first thought after I listened is I’m really glad I’m not in the room. He sounded like if I’d been in the room with him that he’d be attacking me physically,” he said.

A 24-year-old Las Vegas man has been charged for making terrorist threats in a video that was posted on YouTube.

Las Vegas police say they were notified on July 2 by Interpol via Google about a suspicious/threatening YouTube video.

In the video, a man named Bryce Cuellar reportedly showed off two rifles and was wearing a military flak vest and night vision goggles.

Cuellar reportedly said in the video that he is tired of the government trying to take away his First and Second Amendment rights and says that he cannot wait to use his rifle in the manner in which the founding fathers intended.

He also said that he wanted to kill "gays, faggots, lesbians and satanists" and claimed to be a Christian warrior. Cuellar also said that he is tired of America and would begin killing soon.

An hour after Cuellar posted the video, police say he attacked his wife, punching her and causing her to fall to the ground. He then jumped on her and began choking her and telling her that he was going to kill her.

Police officers were not welcome at an Kentucky Taco Bell last week — the second time in a little over a month law-enforcement officers have been turned away at the chain.

Last Thursday, an employee refused to take the lunch orders of five Louisville Metro Police officers, reports The Courier-Journal. While the officers' orders were eventually taken, other employees were also hostile towards the police.

In July, a cashier at a Taco Bell in Phenix City was fired after turning away two sheriff's deputies because of their status as law-enforcement officers.

At the time, Taco Bell said the action is not a restaurant policy — nationally or locally — but instead the act of a single employee. (Taco Bell did not respond to Business Insider's request for comment on the most recent incident.) Cont.

Pastor Who Said Orlando Shooting Victims "Got What They Deserved" Arrested For Child Molestation

Adkins, 56, turned himself over to Glynn County authorities Friday morning on charges of aggravated child molestation and child molestation stemming from allegations made by a young male former member of his congregation.

Stacy Carson, special agent in charge of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Kingsland office, said District Attorney Jackie Johnson asked the GBI on Aug. 12 to assist the Brunswick Police Department in the investigation. It focused on suspected molestation in several locations in the Brunswick area including at Adkins’ church, a vehicle and a victim’s home, Carson said.

The incidents possibly occurred in 2010 and would have had to involve someone younger than 16 for child molestation charges to be brought.

Adkins is a controversial figure in Jacksonville politics, particularly because of comments and crude caricatures he posted on his Twitter account while he helped lead the fight against expanding Jacksonville’s anti-discrimination law to cover lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

After the mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando in June, Adkins tweeted, “been through so much with these Jacksonville homosexuals that I don’t see none of them as victims. I see them as getting what they deserve.” Cont.

Texas Couple's Dog Poisoned After They Display Hillary Clinton Sign

A couple in Texas says their dog was killed because they displayed a Hillary Clinton sign in their front yard.

“Hillary Clinton I’m with her,” Matt Steadman tells KTVT.

But Steadman and his wife say their political stance has them under attack in their own community.

First they say their signs begin to disappear.

“I just kind of thought oh well the third sign is still there no big deal,” says Steadman.

But then an ominous note was left under their doormat and then their vehicle was vandalized.

Then their dog Abby got sick.

“She started tremoring and she started shaking called Beth around 4 and said I think somethings wrong with Abby,” Steadman tells KTVT.

Abby died a few days later and the family vet says it was from ingesting a neuro toxin.

Police have talked to the couple but there’s no official investigation into the dog’s death. Another sign was also donated to the family, but they say they are going to keep this one inside for now. Cont. (Video)

"Epic Disappointment" - Judge Feels 20 Year Sentence For Former NFL Star Too Light

Making clear that she thought the sentence was a light one, a Louisiana judge Thursday formally imposed a 20-year prison sentence on former NFL star Darren Sharper, who last week was sentenced by a federal judge to 18 years and four months in a drug and rape case with victims in four states.

Defence attorney Billy Gibbens said that the two sentences are essentially the same, when credit for time served and other factors are considered. The sentence follows Sharper's guilty pleas in state and federal courts in New Orleans, and pleas of guilty or no contest to similar charges in Arizona, California and Nevada -- all the result of a multi-jurisdiction plea deal that once called for a sentence of about nine years.

Early this year, U.S. District Judge Jane Triche Milazzo rejected that sentence as too light. She imposed the 18-year, four-month sentence last week.

In state court on Thursday, Judge Karen Herman made clear she thought two decades was a relatively light punishment for the fallen NFL star, calling his behaviour "such an epic disappointment."

Thursday's second sentencing hearing was again punctuated by tearful testimony from victims. One who said she was determined from the time she realized she had been raped in 2013 to see him prosecuted and see him branded as "a serial rapist and a sex offender." She added that, for months, she woke up screaming in the middle of the night because of the ordeal.

Sentenced to nine years already in Arizona, Sharper still faces formal sentencing in California and Nevada. He is expected to serve his sentence in federal custody. Cont.

Man Carries Dead Wife 12 km After Hospital Wouldn't Provide Transport

An impoverished man in India carried his wife's body for 12km after the hospital where she died allegedly failed to provide an ambulance to carry the body back to their village.

Dana Majhi's wife Amang, 42, died from tuberculosis in the district hospital in Bhawanipatna town in Orissa state.

Mr Majhi said his village was 60km (37 miles) away and he couldn't afford to hire a vehicle.

Chinese Food Delivery Woman Murdered During Robbery

Story out of Waterbury, Connecticut:

A robbery turned into the murder of a Chinese restaurant delivery woman in Waterbury on Tuesday night.

Police said 59-year-old Helena Vargas,of Waterbury, died after she was shot once in the neck in the area of 70 Linden St. around 9:30 p.m.

Police said Vargas and a delivery man, identified as 61-year-old Rolando Alvarez, were attacked by a group of four people including two men and two women. The man "was physically assaulted" while Vargas was shot.

Alvarez told police "The guy ran up on me quick and he pushed my face away...The guy told me give him the money and the phone. The second guy ran over to Helena who was sitting in the car. I could not see what was going on but I heard her say "Papi" and then heard two gun shots."

After first aid was given to Vargas, police said she was rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital where she died a short time later.

The four people were arrested in the area of Oak Street on Wednesday.

All four were charged with felony murder, first-degree robbery and  and first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery. Wright and the 16-year-old man were also charged with second-degree larceny in the second degree, second-degree conspiracy at larceny, carrying a pistol without a permit and criminal use of a firearm. Cont. (Video)

Children Among Dead After Attack In Syria Using Barrel Bomb

A barrel bomb killed at least 15 people, including children, in one of two deadly attacks Thursday in the Syrian city of Aleppo, two groups monitoring the situation say.

There was a discrepancy in the number of children reported killed in the airstrike in the rebel-held Bab al-Nayrab neighborhood. The activist group Aleppo Media Center reported five children were among the dead; the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 11 children had died.

The AMC posted several harrowing videos online following the barrel bombing, including one showing two boys covered in dust, desperately clinging to each other and crying after learning their brother had died.

Three People Murdered With Crossbow In Toronto

Toronto police confirm there is a link between the three deaths involving a crossbow in east Toronto and a suspicious package found in the downtown area of the city. No further details were provided.

Earlier Thursday, police revealed that three people are dead, all of whom were found with apparent crossbow injuries, in the Scarborough area of Toronto on Thursday afternoon. A source with knowledge of the investigation said it's believed all three deceased are related, CBC News has learned.

Police said the bodies of two men and a woman were found in a garage. Two people were found with no vital signs, and one person died after officers arrived, police confirmed.

Paramedics said another man was taken to hospital with injuries that were not serious. "He was another victim," spokesman Evert Steenge revealed.

Police have also confirmed that a 35-year-old male suspect, who has injuries, is being held in custody. Cont.

Homeland Security Investigating Hacking Of Comedian Leslie Jones' Website

Department of Homeland Security investigators said Thursday they are investigating the hack of Leslie Jones' website that revealed several private details of the actress-comedian's life.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, part of Homeland Security Investigations, said Thursday that its New York office is investigating the hack that exposed the driver's license, passport and intimate photos of the Saturday Night Live star, along with hateful and racist images.

ICE Public Affairs Officer Rachael Yong Yow said the agency does not release information related to active investigations. Jones' website was taken offline after the hack was exposed Wednesday.

The Ghostbusters actress was also targeted on Twitter last month with a barrage of racial slurs and obscene photos. She called on the social networking service to do more to curb harassment, and Twitter banned several users as a result. Cont.

Breast Cancer Patient Beaten To Death While Waiting For Ride To Clinic

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information in the murder of a 46-year-old cancer patient from Missouri who was being treated in north suburban Zion.

Shannon Vincel, of Springfield, Mo., was sitting outside the Guest Quarters, a hotel property for the Cancer Treatment Center of America, when she was attacked Monday night. Police said she was struck her in the head with a blunt object.

Vincel died Tuesday night at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Her family took her off life support after a severe head injury.

Vincel had been traveling to and from Zion every two weeks for radiation treatment for breast cancer, and had just returned on Monday after celebrating her mother's birthday. Cont. (Video)

Two Nuns Murdered In Their Home

Authorities say two Catholic nuns were found dead in a Mississippi home where they lived.

WJTV talked to Durant’s police chief about the investigation. The chief said the women had stab wounds.

One is a member of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in Kentucky. The other is part of the School Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee.

Sisters of Charity identified the victims as Paula Merrill and Margaret Held. Merrill was a member of Sisters of Charity.

The nuns were found by authorities during a welfare check after they didn’t show up for work.
